[TB4CP] Going Back to the Well

Day 3,180, 18:58 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar

Greetings eAmerica! Tomorrow brings us the 5th of August election day. This will be my final written pitch for President. To get started I would like to thank my Party for once again supporting me to represent them on the ballot. The Federalist Party has given me much in this game. Other than to say the Feds are my home I cannot even begin to say what my Party means to me. I would also like to thank the Socialist Freedom Party and the American Freedom Alliance for their endorsements.

It is no secret that the SFP and I were not always on great terms. Many of their prominent players are former Feds who left after a disagreement between myself and a few other current Federalists. Yet in the intervening time since that schism we have worked to mend fences. While we do not always agree politically we have built a relationship of mutual respect and understanding. Relationships are what matter in this game and I am pleased to have a good one with the SFP.

What can I say about the AFA. It was my job for the better part of a year or more to grind their faces into the mud after they were pushed out of the top 5 in late 2013. This is a job I did with gusto and enthusiasm. I have no doubt that from 2013 to mid 2014 they really did not like me very much. Today I have a good relationship with them as well. They have honored the agreement I made with them during Molly Emma’s first term as CP without deviation. I am as I said grateful for their support in this and my previous runs to the White House.

This afternoon a vote passed in Congress to defund the USAF. Once upon a time such a thing would have been considered unthinkable. More than 3 years ago we had max taxes and still ran a very large deficit each and every month. Any attempts to reduce funding for USAF in order to balance the budget were quickly snuffed out. So today when we have a 2% tax rate and enjoy a healthy surplus it is very surreal to see USAF set fiscally adrift. So the question with USAF is: what now?

Even without Congressional Funds USAF remains under the purview of the Executive. Yet how is the MU to survive without funds? USAF does possess some commune infrastructure, but not enough for self sufficiency. This is not the result of an oversight but has been a deliberate policy for more than four years now. Infrastructure built by public dollars has walked away enough times to make it untenable to even consider building more. This leaves our national MU in a less than advantageous position. I will be supplying infrastructure to USAF no strings attached using my own gold and cc. This will be done regardless of the results of the election.

Once upon a time I watched SHIELD the only MU I had ever really known wither and die. I will not do the same with USAF. Win or lose tomorrow I will utilize every resource I have to work with Rainy to ensure USAF survives. However, if I do win it is obvious USAF is going to need a lot of Executive attention in order to weather this time of uncertain change. This will not be a quick or easy undertaking, but I still believe it is worthwhile. I have appointed Melissa Rose Secretary of Defense to bring her special brand of organization, efficiency, and accountability to USAF.

Through my last three articles I have presented my belief that it is necessary to position more players for Executive opportunity. Some have said that I am standing in the way of what little new blood we have and if I really believed in fostering growth I would move out of the way. With respect I disagree with the premise of that argument. I am presenting a vision for medium to long term growth instead of short term gratification. I have no doubt Resoula will be a fine CP. However, as I have asked in other articles: what do we do after that?

Years ago I watched a short church video on the consequences of our choices. On the impact of short-sightedness. In this video a man gets stranded in the desert. He wanders aimlessly for a long time until just as he is about to collapse he spots an abandoned structure with a water pump in front of it. There is a bucket hanging from the pump with a note in it instructing the reader to use the water in a hiden bottle to prime the pump. The note assures the reader there is abundant water to be had. Just prime the pump. The man chooses to gulp down the water not trusting the pump will work. His thirst not even close to quenched he shambles back out into the desert. As the video comes to a close the camera pans to the pump and a drop of water can be seen coming out of the pump. If you are interested in watching this video I found it on youtube it is a little over 8 minutes long.

The eUSA is very low on players ready to step in and lead for the first time. We are also very low on proven players who still have the will to step in and lead. It is my goal to fix this by allowing more players to show what they can do. I do not have elaborate plans for contests and games. Though I have no doubt the Department of Citizen Affairs with WookyJack and Joey at the helm will provide them. What I am after more than anything is to add more players to the CP in waiting club. Right now I can name Resoula and really that is about all. I see CP potential in more, but I also know potential needs a chance to shine in order to be recognized and realized.

This looks like it will be a very close election. At this moment I cannot say who will win tomorrow. That in itself is a good thing. I have never been afraid to lose in this game because well I have and I have survived. All too often we have a consensus pick and who will be our next CP is a foregone conclusion by this point in the election cycle. Contested elections such as the two elections between BeachBunny and myself, Molly Emma vs John Largo, and Wild Owl vs Gnilraps are good for the community. They raise interest and activity. People get invested in the process. That said I am asking you to vote Tyler Bubblar August 5th 2016. Not for me alone, but for the excellent individuals in my Cabinet who are eager for a chance to shine. Also for the eUSA as a whole. Our well has not gone dry we just need to prime the pump.
