Day 3,219, 19:24 Published in USA USA by Jimmy Cincinnati

Socialist Freedom Party Official Publication #32

Thanks to funding from Hoss1965, we've been able to hold a media contest for the last month. The event continues. All SFP members are eligible. The article must be written between 9/12/16 and 9/19/16. Other than that, let the creativity flow.
Here are last week's winners:

Smoking menthols with Pfieffer

Party Presidential Elections are coming up. So, I grabbed my press pass and started knocking on doors. So far, there were four replies:

If you wouldn't mind answering a few questions about your candidacy:

-Jimmy Cincinnati-
Q. #1: What do you hope to accomplish?

-D Money-
A. #1: Stay on course. I think we are doing something good and I like the current party apparatus. Now I am not saying we don't need changes, but I am confident that the collective party leadership is capable of collectively handling problems.
I hope to rally the SFP and other parties to use tax revenue to support devolved organizations. I am against Pfieffer style taxation, because I know if we achieve it in the current environment you would be stealing from everybody to give to the establishment. If we can establish a mechanism that allows organizations like Bear Calvary to receive government funding with no strings attached I would be happy.

-Jimmy Cincinnati-
Q. #2: What skills have you which might enhance your ability to fulfil the duties of this office?

If you wouldn't mind answering a few questions about your candidacy:

-Jimmy Cincinnati-
Q. #1: What do you hope to accomplish?

-Tom Cauchon-
A. #1: I hope to bring SFP to a new level, allowing both our players and our party to reach new heights. My sole focus for this term will be to continue our current party recruitment, programs, and media while expanding our inter-party relationships and improving our standing within the Top 5 parties. This will create a more conducive and more efficient eUS and SFP. I have long been Party > Country. I’d like to try it the other way around this time. I love SFP, and I think our players have the ability to make our eCountry a lot better. We just have to be in a position to have that chance. That will be my goal and hope for this term.

Q. #2: What skills have you which might enhance your ability to fulfil the duties of this office?

-Tom Cauchon-
A. #2: What skills have you which might enhance your ability to fulfil the duties of this office?
I have several skills that enhance my ability to fulfill the Chairman/Party President position. I am seasoned moderator, that is I often have the ability to reconcile two differences and form a cohesive strategic plan for moving forward. When disagreements arise, I am not the person that fuels the flame. Rather I am the person that throws a rug at it and quells the argument.
I also am regarded among eUS players as a true SFP player. I cannot claim to be more prominent or more credible among our citizens than Cerb. He certainly wins in that regard, and if you believe that Cerb with his popularity among elites is the way we should go, then I urge you to vote for Cerb. I am known to be irrational (think December Revolution here), but at the same time I am well ingrained with many members of our community outside SFP. That is where I will start building relationships, with a dynamic and highly functional team to support.

Q. #3: Who were the last 3 party presidents?

-Tom Cauchon-
A. #3: Who were the last 3 party presidents?
Wooky Jack has served the past 4 terms as Chairman/Party President. However, in chronological order the past 4 party presidents would be Wooky Jack, myself, and J.A. Lake.

-Jimmy Cincinnati-
Q. #4: On a scale of 1 to 10, how active can you be?

-Tom Cauchon-
A. #4: I would never claim to be a 10. I can be as active as a 7. I lead an extremely busy life that includes a full college class schedule and a Division 1 athletic schedule. That being said, I have proven my ability to be active when needed over the past two years in SFP.

-Jimmy Cincinnati-
Q. #5: What's is your favorite sport?

-Tom Cauchon-
A. #5: My favorite sport is baseball. I played throughout my entire childhood and still retain strong support of the Boston Red Sox. Football would come in at #2, great win by the Patriots last night as well, I was jumping around by myself in the kitchen when the Cardinals botched the kick to win.
Thank you all for your consideration, feel free to message me with questions, or comment below!

Cerb

-Jimmy Cincinnati-
Q. #1: What do you hope to accomplish?

-Cerb-
A. #1: I want to blend change and knowledge to create a cocktail of SFP party success. I want to train younger players and give them the tools they need to succeed in Congress. I want to help our less-involved members feel like they have a voice. We have become what we detest - the small room of party elders controlling everything.

-Jimmy Cincinnati-
Q. #2: What skills have you which might enhance your ability to fulfill the duties of this office?

-Cerb-
A. #2: I have held more in-game offices than the entire Revolutionary Committee combined, and probably multiplied several times over. I don't think I am invincible or anything, just that I have enough game-time here to see what works, and what doesn't It's a simple enough notion, but an important distinction from my opponents.

I also have the credibility with other eRep power players to make deals when deals need to be made. Again, my opponents don't really have that.

-Jimmy Cincinnati-
Q. #3: Who were the last 3 party presidents?

-Cerb-
A. #3: You asked me this last time. Anyone can find this information by clicking this link and going backwards in time:
https://www.erepublik.com/en/main/elections

-Jimmy Cincinnati-
Q. #4: On a scale of 1 to 10, how active can you be?

-Cerb-
A. #4: I would love to say 10, but let's be honest, no one is a '10' in activity in eRep anymore. The game is slowing down, and people are committing less time to it. I think I can say an '8', which is pretty high, but there are daytime blocks where I will be unavailable at work.

-Jimmy Cincinnati-
Q. #5: What's is your favorite sport?

-Cerb-
A. #5: Skiing of course. Snowboarding is for people who cannot ski.

Thanks to everyone who answered and good luck to the Socialist Freedom Party.
