Join the new world

Comrades,

Thank you for choosing me to be your Party President for this month. I anticipate we'll bind together in the pursuit of personal and collective goals.

Goals for the players.
Goals for the soldiers.
Goals for the workers.
Goals for the Party.

Yet before I transition to goals, I want to pause for a moment to acknowledge the courage of one Tom Cauchon, an SFP candidate for Party President who was faced with an impossible scenario, no thanks to some shady person(s) operating multi's and corrupting the SFP race.

Tom went on Pfeiffer Radio to discuss the frustrating state of affairs as well as the imperfect solutions. I stand before you, aiming to be that solution. It's no secret I have been critical of the SFP's status quo, but I believe we can have revolution within itself. Our change and progress has slowed, and our membership levels have actually sank. Our Congressional participation is high, but our primary participation is awful. We can do better for this party. We must do better.

Without further ado, here are SOME of my goals, contrasting old ways with new...



-= GOALS FOR THE PARTY PRESIDENT HIMSELF =-

Ol😛 An article when it's time to run again.
New: Individual & personalized contact with each member on a regular basis.

Details:
I intend to publish a progress update here every 2-3 days, and you'll receive a personalized message from me including a PARTY VALUES SURVEY for you to complete. The completion of the survey is critical to move the ball forward in the SFP this month! I'll be looking for your input on the direction of the party, AND ALSO soliciting volunteers with talents in graphics design, creative writing, analytic writing, and programming.

Remember: I'm the loudspeaker for the message you want to voice!



-= COMMUNICATION GOALS =-

Ol😛 Large free forumotion with many unused boards, no central voice chat location of our own.
New: Topic-specific in-game messaging threads, party Discord server, forumotion for overflow.

Details:
We have key differences in time and talent, but we share the joint vision of a COMMUNITY free of unnecessary drama and vitriole. But a community must learn and grow, and expand to welcome new players. So too must this party's community learn and grow. As the farmer channels technological innovations to reap fields more efficiently, we shall channel technological innovations in communication to stay connected to each other while simultaneously expanding our reach.

To that end, I'm announcing the creation of the first SFP Discord server to facilitate cross-game communication, voice chatter, and text chat. Discord is a phenomenal tool which hybridizes text chat, voice chat, and document sharing to serve as (nearly) a 1-stop shop for the party faithful.

Ol😛 Good Congressional activity, yet poor primary vote participation.
New: High SFP activity in all vote-related matters!

Details:
As mentioned above, our activity has not been consistent. Successful SFP assertion and dominance of an issue or a bill requires constant, thoughtful input. We must also take care to participate in our internal party primaries. If we have members who occupy roles but cannot fulfill the duties of these roles, they should make room for those more able and more willing to do the jobs.

-= OUTREACH GOALS =-

Ol😛 Just an SFP dSoH, no legislative or positional agreements.
New: A different SFP dSoH, and preemptive political dialogue with other top parties!

Details:
One of my key attributes is the large network of friends and political allies I have drawn across the canvas. I can channel my knowledge of these other gamers to create and negotiate inter-party accords, such that savvy SFP members will be able to take part in the game at the higher levels. Some of you fine folks are even worthy of sitting in the Oval Office someday. I can help you aspire to positions of that nature.
