These comments by Dozzer really illustrate that he is more capable handling other countries' affairs than his own nation's.

A President is a foreign representative. Even if your claim is true, which I don't grant he would be great at his job. His job is to represent us in the international circle.

A President is a leader. Do you see leadership in his comments or do you see someone who can't handle criticism and pressure? Rylde may be an a**hole but he can stand up to pressure.

Strange that you think the SG of Aurora isn't fit for Foreign Affairs. I kind of thought that's what SG's did. If you don't recognize the value of having an important figure of a rival alliance helping to build better relationships with certain foreign powers, I'm not sure what to tell you.

How about this: if you're right, and Don Croata is right, and all alliances but Aurora are slated to collapse next month, and we have an "in" with the SG of the alliance of our Irish bros... would that not be advantageous somehow?

Maybe your government will have a President that knows how to shake hands and make compromises. Our cabinet has a President that knows enough to delegate tasks to those with the right skill-set, and who will meet the world on his feet and not on his knees.

You don't have to be well liked to run Foreign Affairs, you have to be respected. Liked or not I can and have done the job very effectively.

Foreign affairs isn't some kind of black magic that is secret to a successful term. It's unpredictable and out of your control. Anybody can spend 20 hours a day talking to people on IRC/in-game in messages; the success of it is down to luck and not names. It's not really something that's going to set you apart from Dozzer - I'm sure he can easily find 5 guys who are just as capable at covering foreign affairs as you.

Alliances are very close to changing and the world tomorrow will be different to how it is today. Most friendships on eRepublik are forgotten very quickly, as they don't really exist. It's just a bunch of countries kissing each others' butts in the hope of not being attacked.

This whole article is very ego-driven.

The point is that the alliances are changing and we need people with friend, contacts, and assets in both friendly and enemy nations. We're prepared to no matter how alliances end up. Whereas Dozzer is only focused on our current friends.
