{RSU} eAustralia and recent political turmoil

Day 3,259, 18:55 Published in Australia Thailand by Revolutionary Socialist Union

Greetings eAustralia,

Well, well, well…. What a few turbulent weeks it has been. If you have not been hiding out in a cave somewhere, you would of seen the infighting, the weirdness, the rogue laws, accusations, coup and further accusations.

While the RSU press is here on behalf of the party and eAustralia, we would like to talk about the recent events.

We are not going to be talking about the baseless accusations levelled at some of our members, but we will be talking about the party as a whole and what the RSU thinks about the current situation and the lead up to it. The closest thing to a personal account will be about our nomination process, other than that, it will be up to individual members to reply to the accusations levelled against them.

BDR an RSU candidate

One of the resonating comments and blame laying, by eAustralians and ex eAustralians (who for some reason have come out of the woodwork to question and try to influence Australian politics), is the recent events are all the fault of the RSU.

But let us take a closer look at this. Yes, the RSU put forward BDR as a candidate, but who voted for him? What party promoted their own candidate or even attempted to offer an alternative (Last time an alternative was run, was back in July)?

The RSU has for months always endorsed a candidate, whether it was a full legit campaign run or just as a second choice. The RSU as a party understands the need to have a back up candidates to allow the office of the CP to function properly if there is an impeachment. However when we put forward a candidate, all other parties sit back, when a candidate loses the plot (for whatever reason), the parties who did not even attempt to contribute to the election process try and claim the higher ground and start mud slinging.

But now to go into detail about our selection process….

During the lead up to the CP elections, BDR asked if he could run. He had proven himself a hard worker and full of ideas in the ADF, as a cabinet minister he showed a willingness to learn and was very keen and active. So as a party the RSU was happy to endorse him. As the RSU believes in promoting young talent and giving people a chance.

No one ran against him, no party even put up an alternative and on the polling day 50 eAustralians voted for him. So he became CP and also kept a strong multi party cabinet with him.

CP meltdown?

While the RSU will not go into too much detail on this subject, as it is for the individual to answer for his actions, we will touch on it just a bit.

Every person who plays this game, comes from different walks of life. Some have a lot of disposable income so they buy packs every week, some do it the old fashion way and take the time to reach the higher strength, some just 2 click and others use the game as an escape from RL.

The RSU does not do RL back ground checks, instead the RSU judges a player from his in-game work. We don’t have the power to remove players from our party ranks or stop others joining our party. We can only partially control our congress lists by setting the running order (however depending on the amount of regions held, alot of time everyone on the list gets in). But one thing we can do is either endorse a candidate from another party, if one is put forward, or endorse one of the RSU candidates.

BDR appeared to have a melt down or a ‘moment’, however he has messaged the RSU leadership group and explained to us what happened. He also offered his apologies to the party and the people now being wrongly accused. The RSU has accepted his apology and hopes he has learnt from this episode.

Coup and Dictatorship

The RSU understands the reasons why the coup took place. While the party doesn’t like the idea of an un-voted dictatorship, the RSU realises the situation that was facing the country and will support the leadership group in their tasks in steadying eAustralia once again.

We have had several members PM the RSU leadership asking about what has happened and about the return to democracy when the time is right. And the RSU will ensure that eAustralia is returned to a democracy once the dust has settled and the country has found stability again.

But until that time, the RSU will support the current leadership group in their democratic dictatorship (as they have promised to listen to congress) and will urge all its members to support them for the betterment of our beloved eNation.

The current leadership group is made up of senior players from different political parties and we know that will help keep everyone’s voices heard.

RSU: Congress

The RSU urges all it’s members to sign up for the congress elections. It looks like there will be 40 seats available to eAustralians and the RSU would like to see our members help eAustralia by working in congress. But for those who sign up, remember you are not there for the gold, you are not there for a shiny medal, but you are there to take part in discussions, offer idea’s and help eAustralia and its citizens.
