[PotUS] An Update

Hey America,
Its been five days since my last article and it is high time that I provide an update, particularly with the way events are progressing internationally. This month was always going to be an exciting one, with nations looking to form new alliances and move forward from a world dominated by TWO and so far, it has lived upto the hype. I hope that this update will help our citizens stay informed about events relevant to the USA.
Turkey MPP
We’ve been working on restoring relations with our brothers in Turkey, for a long, long time and I am proud to say that we have succeeded. Turkey and the USA have managed to sign a Mutual Protection Pact with each other and we are glad to be fighting alongside our brothers once again. This is a huge victory for our country and gives us a trusted ally in the Middle East.
World Events
As you may have seen, the world is likely to be divided into polar camps once again, led by Serbia and Poland. We’re now nearing the state where many countries have declared their allegiances to a particular side or bloc, and at the rate the things are progressing, you can expect a formal update about this soon. As I’ve mentioned previously, we’ll be in the anti Serb block, led by Poland.
Portugal War
Our war with the Portuguese has concluded and was a huge win for us. Despite us losing the initial campaign, we won all the campaigns after that, and took over all the original regions of Portugal. Obviously, they’re still on the map as they managed to make their way through to Spanish regions that don’t share a border with us, but considering the fact that the point of this war was to help our citizens with the NE damage during the MU competition, we definitely achieved our goals, and are working on a withdrawal from the region.
