Yup - this just about sums it up...

We are going to be wiped because we insulted another country who happen to have rather powerful allies...

Perhaps we can learn from this - for a country with modest resources and military strength (such as eUK) - a strategy of diplomacy and forging of strong alliances is a really good idea if we are not to end up totally wiped. Trolling is generally considered to be an activity counter-productive to the formation of Alliances....
