[PHOENIX] Day 1049 - The day it got personal.

One of the darkest days in the history of our alliance, and its various preceding alliances, was had yesterday: our almighty Lion King fell to the clutches of China, and EDEN. I could use this time to mention how the national bank of Serbia (and in recent times, the UK and Slovenia too) have been completely destroyed due to security issues the admins still haven't fixed. I could also use this time to bemoan the admins refusal, or inability to remove the tamperdata bug, which has allowed thousands of illegal gold to flow into the game recently. Of course, these are issues which are solely affecting the Phoenix alliance at this moment, so to mention them would of course make me butthurt: after all, a level playing field is just an outrageous thing for one to ask for.


Instead, I'd like to talk about Phoenix for a while, and how it remains completely different to EDEN. When EDEN is the subject of a hack (admittedly, this is quite rare)

Would one ally bleed for another?
Would they do anything to help?
Would they help without even being asked to?
Do they spend hours coordinating, and organising strikes and damage to be sent?
Do they even care when they aren't directly gaining?

Whilst the friendship of Phoenix means that sometimes we are at a disadvantage (we dont sacrifice our members: they are our friends, and dear allies) and as such, there will of course be battles which we should, on paper, win easily: but it is not always the case.

But whilst that means we may lose some battles, we never lose our friends. We may lose a region because we are outspent, out maneuvered, even out-damaged, but we do not lose a dear friend.





The main reason I write this article today, is to apologise to Serbia on behalf of the whole of Phoenix. Despite the various rumours, and incidents involving bots, bugs, interference and otherwise, Phoenix was simply caught off guard by EDENs renowned Bang your head against a wall until you have no gold left strategy: and for that, we must put our hands up and say that we are sorry. But that does not mean to say we are defeate😛 we will never surrender.


We are sorry that we play the game fairly, and so don't have 20,000 GOLD at any one time to throw into a battle.

We are sorry that we are human, and thus cannot always be online when necessary

We are sorry that our IPs were blocked from entering the battle (admittedly, an issue for both sides)

We did our best, unfortunately, as we are humans with real lives and mortgages/debts/cars/families, we cannot buy our way into victory: nor can we simply have 1500 accounts in Titanium mines suppling armies to supply our alliance with cheap titanium in exchange for GOLD.

This is not the end of Phoenix: this is not even the end of the battle; let alone the war. We will be back, we will be stronger, we will be ready to win. I ask that you ignore the various EDEN propaganda articles, and don't let their trolling affect you. They won this roun😛 but they have paid the price for doing so before, and in the coming days, they will pay for their exuberance and arrogance once again: so please, be patient, be understanding, but most of all be ready for incoming awesome.
