Dear readers,

The past year has not been a good one for the eNetherlands. Around the same time last year we finished the 'Resource Wars' with unprecedented bonuses for our country with superb organization and kicked whoever dared to come to our cores - their stay would never be too long. As a small nation we sowed the seeds of our cooperation with Asteria and Hydra.

Then the fire nation attacked the balance in the world definitely tilted to the other side of Code, a fact our country was ill-prepared for. In the panic that ensued, nefarious and unsuccessful deals have been made and it was all for nought, since in the end we were still humiliated, emasculated and trampled upon by a coalition of nations far bigger than us for no strategic reason than that is costs no effort to do so. And if it does, there is always internal motivators of defeat available to rely upon.

Even in our weakest time several of the invaders left without much grace. Now there is just one uninvited guest left in our house. The nation of Croatia is undoubtedly the strongest in the game in a 1v1 against anyone else and the others that came were just mere distractions to the head of the figurative snake. And unlike the rest of Code they seek to vengeance upon our membership of Hydra and our ancient actions, far beyond strategic purposes to occupy us. And with it they have energized a country that was on the point of giving up and being delegated to a farming country with no allegiances.

Olive branches have been extended by others in this country, both internally and externally. And while all Dutch citizens will always be part of the community and be forgiven, the ones that insist on enforcing Training Wars, dictate who we interact with and refuse to pay back the meagre taxes we use to fund our small community will be fought. There will be no more excuses, no making enforced Training Wars convenient for uninvited guests and no more hiding from those who seek to help us. With the tentacles of Croatia overextending to keep more and more nations down such as Lithuania, Latvia and Peru it is only a matter of time before the realization comes that we won't budge and are not worth it to keep under the thumb.

In the meantime, let us continue working on making sure a repeat of this year is never to happen again. Protesting is mere talk to what one wants to end, resistance is when one makes sure it will end. We have seen increased activity in our country. I was especially thrilled to see so so many players hit in our D4 Epic earlier this week. It may not seem like much to a foreign reader, but for the Dutch one it has been a long time ago to see so many players engage. Whatever the circumstances may be, the time of stand-still is at end.
