Taiwan, also known in the past as Formosa (originated from Portuguese, meaning "Beautiful Island"), is an island in East Asia. Located in the western Pacific Ocean near the southeastern coast of mainland China.

There's a different side of Taiwan that you can experience in Jiufen. It's a city also known as Jioufen or Chiufen. You can experience its simple lifestyle of the ancient days during the night. And the winding old streets are still filled with untainted and simple human culture. The film "A City of Sadness", is a story about this city and its old gold mines.
　
如果你想要體驗關於台灣的不同感受，九份會是個好選擇。在夜晚的九份小鎮，你可以體驗它單純而自然的生活型態。它曲折的老街也充滿了質樸簡單的人文文化。而「悲傷城市」這部電影，就是在講關於九份與金礦之間的故事。

If you visit Taiwan, you can notice the unique bubble teashops on every corner. Bubble tea is also known as pearl (milk) tea, tapioca (ball) drink, B(P)oba milk tea and many others. It originated in Taiwan in the early 1980's. Bubble Tea to Taiwan is what coffee or soda is to the U.S. One would think Bubble Tea is the national drink by its popularity.

Due to our historical imagine of Taiwan, we imagined Taiwan a lovely girl, living in this big Asian family. She was always having worries, like arguments between Japan and China. She hopes that everyone could live in peace in this family, but the complex relationship between Japan and China is hard to explain.
　
由於我們對於台灣的歷史印象，我們把台灣擬人化想像成是一位身在亞細亞大家庭內的可愛女孩。她總是愛操心，像是操心中國與日本之間常常有的吵鬧和爭論。她希望家人們之間都能夠和好的相處，但是卻很難解釋自己處在日本和中國之間的復雜關係。
