[Neodymium] Top 3 eCanadian Moments of 2016

2016 was an up and down year for eCanada. Our population dwindled to a mere handful, our party politics became a shell of its former self---a side-effect of a slowly dying game. And in terms of strength on the battlefield, we continue to decline.

Despite the negatives however, we still pulled off a few notable #wins in 2016.

Below is my Top 3 of those:

Repelling the Ezc MTO

This probably deserves to go higher, but considering it was an international effort rather than just us eCanadians, it only makes it to #3. Long story short: eUS MU Ezc bought an MU in eCanada and attempted a coup. Fortunately--with major help from our allies, especial mention goes to Romania--we were able to administer a sound thrashing and chase them back to the States with their tail between their legs.

To quote our then CP, Exalted Drui😛 'Now we know why they're called "Easy" Company.' Nice!

Booting the Swiss from Cuba

Of the 3-4 Air Strikes we launched this year, this one was far and away the most successful (for one we were actually able to land!). Switzerland had recently AS'd Cuba, apparently thinking they were easy meat. Our plan was simple: AS Switzerland in Cuba, open another front and help kick them back to the Alps. And it worked a treat!

p.s. We also went on a little excursion through Mexico whilst down there 😉

Neodymium

Neodymium! Number 1 Top eCanadian Moment of 2016 has to be capturing the Very Rare resource Neodymium in the Resource Wars event. 'Murica wanted it baaad and Canada got it: that's a #win right there! We didn't just scoop Neodymium though, we got a very healthy stock of resources, big thanks for that goes to our then CP Exalted Druid, who organised much of it, and our many TW partners!

Kicking Albania from eCanadian cores probably also deserves to be on the list, after all in terms of difficulty it would be no.1. But like the defeat of Ezc to defend our sovereignty, defeating Albania was an international effort, and so it wouldn't be quite correct to claim it solely as our own.

All things considered 2016 has been a pretty decent year to be eCanadian. Big thanks to everyone that contributed to make that happen!
