Official Government Statement on the Japan-South Korea War

Date: 18 May 2010
Place: Irish Foreign Ministry Office, Dublin, Ireland

Due to recent expansionist measures by the fellow Brolliance nation, eJapan against a much smaller and way below par force of South Korea, the Irish Foreign Ministry has decided to release a statement regarding Ireland's own involvement in the conflict.

The conflict has been a long protracted one having it's roots in the 2008 Japan-South Korea War. After the latter was conquered then, the region was silent till the Korean Independence War in which South Korea was liberated before Jeju was again taken by Japan and later kept as part of a peace deal between the two countries.

The situation exploded again when South Korea made unlawful noises about Japan occupying Jeju even though they were party to it. So, the Japanese went ahead with their plans for invasion. And they managed to be partly successful until the Germans allied themselves with Korea. The rest, as they say, is history. Japan has managed to still go on and conquer many regions bringing SK down to two regions as of now.

Ireland does not legitimize this action and condemns it as an attempt to cow down a small country with view of expansionist motives. We see this measure as paramount to a British invasion of Belgium or Ireland. Ireland will not help the Japanese in any way during this war. However, this is government position and any individual willing to support the Japanese may do so at their own risk.

We stand by South Korea in all ways and like President Patton said, "I personally believe Ireland should help smaller nations like ourselves, not conquer them."

While we have outright respect for Japan, we cannot go with them into wrong deeds. Japan will still be our brother, only, he will be a slightly bad brother we have.

Thank You,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs team.
