The Foreign Ministry is Hiring!

Have you ever wanted to take that deep dive into foreign affairs and international politics? Have you loved representing Ireland abroad? Well then, here's your chance!

The Foreign Ministry is looking for talented people in the country to represent Ireland as her ambassadors to other countries.

Being an ambassador means a long term commitment. It is not an easy job. And starting this term, being an ambassador requires a lot more. Some new rule changes and a better standard in criteria will be required by citizens if they want to become ambassadors. So without much ado, let's get going.

Rule One:

"Get all Irish ambassadors to other countries to publish their country reports within the Irish media for the public to see."

That is what I said in my last article and that is what I put as rule number one. All reports on assigned countries must be put up in the media for everyone to see. If you have a newspaper, you're going to put it in that one as an article and alert Mirek12345 about it. He will approve it if it is good or ask for more details if not.

Do not have a newspaper? Don't worry. Send the Report as a PM to this org and it will be published as soon as possible.

Rule Two

If you are going to take up you're position as ambassador and stay inactive you will be fired. Yes that's the way it is. Being an ambassador is not a right. It is a duty and a duty which has to be taken up sincerely.

If you think you satisfy those two conditions, you can ask for being an ambassador to any country in erepublik by giving a PM out to Mirek12345 and asking him for appointment. Be aware that you might not get the country you wanted.

Now moving on to some more serious and main business in the international world

Slovakia withdraws free help to EDEN

Meanwhile, the eSlovak government has decided to enter into a state of complete neutrality from all alliances. This was announced in an official government statement by the Slovakian officials. Saying that EDEN treated them like a puppet and like a second grade country, the Slovakian government has decided to effectively pull out of EDEN.

They have firmly rejected any possibility of EDEN/Phoenix region swaps unless large gold is paid to them. Also, they say that they will not co-operate with EDEN until Romania explains and does a few things. However, they have not ruled out rejoining the alliance if Romania fulfills Slovak conditions (which seems unlikely), or so it seems from their article.

They have however, decided to help certain friendly nations like Poland if and only if they want to do something which is independent of EDEN and it's motives.

The Irish Foreign Ministry stands by the Slovak government and condemns EDEN's second rate treatment of small nations like Slovakia which has led to their pullout from the alliance. We hope that EDEN can rectify this problem and stop such actions with immediate effect. We wish Slovakia a brighter future to say the least.

Also, the Irish Foreign Ministry will be initiating talks with the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs for friendly purposes, beginning tomorrow.

Canadian MPP

Discussions on the Canadian MPP have been put on hold in reserve for the time when the Canadian invasion of France bursts backward and becomes the French invasion of Canada, which is what France and their Entente and Phoenix allies are hoping. An MPP with shared costs will be signed if there is a threat to Canada's homeland.

That is all for this update of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. Please stay tuned for more.
