Hello there and welcome to the third article of the UK Foreign Office for January 2013. Greetings to you all, ladies and gentlemen, from wherever you are in The New World. Here at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs we thought it was time to release an article to the whole world on why we’re a fantastic place to live out your e-life. We’d love to make as many friends as possible from all round the world and we’d love to convince you to come and give our little country a try!

The eUK is a country that speaks English as a first language and has always managed to attract people from all around the world thanks to how easy it is to access and understand our forums, articles and shouts. We’ve always found that we have a community that’s easy to integrate into no matter where you come from.

We’re a vibrant, active and turbulent community, to say the least, so if you’re a passionate and driven political player, rest assured there’s a place for you here. UK politics are an acquired taste and a battleground, but an open one at that. If you’re looking for a country where you can dig and stand your ground then perhaps eUK us for you. We have a range of political parties encompassing a diverse set of beliefs and you’re bound to fit into a friendly bunch of supportive people wherever you wind up.

There’s something for everyone in the UK military, from our ol’ official Government MU with a top tier of 12Q7’s and £50 a day for active, military driven players, to our numerous private MU’s with fantastic communities and friendships to be found. Many of us spend plenty of time chatting on IRC with our supportive commanders, captains and comrades. Fighting all over the world to support our allies and a Government committed to filling our spare time with training wars means that if you’re looking for a place to fight, you could do much worse than the eUK!

Of course, don’t just take our word for it, hear the words of some eUKers themselves...

“I believe the eUK get’s a little bit of a bad reputation, I wouldn't say that they aren't a few bad apples here and there, but I think these bad apples are a bad representation of what most people are like. Most people in the eUK are very respectful people. A thing which became apparent as soon as I joined the eUK. If you aren't in the same political party as another person, they won’t treat you as an inferior. They will respect the fact that you have made a decision. Many people support our great eNation, they help to defend our territories and fight wars for us and our allies, or they help others through their political party, military unit or newspaper. Our pride keeps us strong even in times of desperation and defeat.”

“I stay around to help the United Kingdom, because it needs it. I stay to solve our divisions between parties. I stay to solve 'Problem 29'. I stay around today so i can help lead tomorrow.”

“More than anything else, I think what makes the eU.K. so great is the communication between the government and the people. Many countries have only a few articles by the government every week, some not at all, except at the beginning of the term. In the eU.K., people always know what the government is doing - in fact if they didn’t we’d get a lot less fierce debate that allows us to justify our choices and a platform for citizens to let their views on such matters air . Almost all of our governmental offices publish at least an article a week. These can range from orders, to guides, to reports on congress, and even the state of current wars. No countries government is so integrally connected with its people. The government sees itself as part of the people, not above it, somewhere where it can make decisions without the thoughts of the populace. In the eU.K., the people have a voice, and the government does too.”

“The UK is like no other country in the eWorld, we are small but very dedicated to any challenge that faces us. We’ve been wiped for months in the past and pull ourselves back up, this shows our true grit and desire to succeed. I would say that if any out there fancies a new challenge, then come visit the eUK we are sure to fulfil your thirst for something new.”

Like the sound of all this? Then please move to the UK and fight for us and our allies for at least two weeks (a month will probably guarantee a much more successful application!) This will help show us that you are serious about our nation and want to help. You can help us to make our decision by taking screenshots of yourself fighting for us, get involved on IRC and the forums, make friends and contact MU's, ready to become a true eUKer. If you show us that you can put in good damage/activity/support and really want to contribute, then it's great to have you!
