[MoFA] An Interview with the Cuban MoFA and Orion dSG

Day 3,376, 17:08 Published in United Kingdom North Macedonia by Foreign Office

Hello all, my name is Ash Brandon and I am the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs this term. In this article, Cuban MoFA Loolie Drea sat down in the hot spot and we had a chat about the relations between eCuba and the eUK.

Getting to Know Cuban MoFA and Orion dSG Loolie Drea

1. Tell the eUK about yourself.

• Hello everyone, my name is Laura, and I am from Romania. I am 22 years old. I'm currently studying law; in around two years more, I'll be a lawyer. So... if you need a lawyer I'll soon be available to help you haha xD. I have been playing eRepublik since 2013, and I have served a lot of positions during this time so I think I have enough experience in the political scene of eRepublik. Right now, I am MoFA of Cuba, and dSG of Orion.

Nice to meet you, Laura! Best of luck to you and your ambitions in becoming a lawyer.

2. What can you say about your country to help eUKers become better acquainted with eCuba?

• In Cuba, we are a small community formed by people from different countries and this makes this community really interesting. Having people from Serbia, Spain, Argentina (of course people from Argentina who are not agree with the radical change of way of their country) and others, makes our community really cool. It's nice to share ideas and many other things with all these people and at same time, we work hard for Cuba, because all we want is to make this eCountry a respected one in the eWorld.

There are many instances in which people have asked if in eCuba there are real life Cubans. We had some RL Cubans but at this moment they are not active anymore. Of course, Cubans in real life are living in USA or in any other countries, because the internet connection that is at this moment in Cuba doesn't allow them to play eRepublik and they pay two dollars per hour for internet, so it's too expensive when the medium salary there is around 20 dollars per month (this is the situation in Cuba RL, anyway you can check more things about this on the internet).

We have also a group of some people that are acting as opposition to the government. This is good because it makes the things more intense and more interesting, and besides that it keeps the community active (even if sometimes this group makes crazy things too, haha). I think that's all for now.

Very neat! It is interesting to know that Cuba is made up of citizens of different backgrounds, including our own. Thank you for the resourceful information and introduction of your country.

3. How do the citizens in eCuba view the United Kingdom?

• Well for Cuba, the eUK is a good ally and friend. I am really happy that our relations have grown to be closer now than ever before. I am glad to see UK in Orion. We are part of the same family now, and as it happens in a family, your problems are our problems too and vice versa.

We feel the same about eCuba. Thank you for all of your hard work in helping the liberation effort as well as the support you give through both times of conflict and peace.

4. What is your stance on the situation between Orion and Pacifica?

• I am for peace. We need this and they need it too and I think this is possible very soon, even if we are on different sides. I think we have the capacity to have a good agreement between us and resolve our problems. I must to admit that I loved Pacifica when it was on our side... I love them now too but not so much than before, that's for sure hahaha. However, I respect their decision, and I really think that we can find the best solution for the both sides soon.

♠ (Editor's Note: Please be advised that this interview was conducted before the finalization of Orion-Pacifica-Ireland peace negotiations.) Thank you for your wise insight on this situation.

5. What is your message to the citizens and government of the eUK?

• I am happy that you are with us! I am sure that your contribution to the alliance will have a good and positive impact. Enjoy the game and welcome to the Orion family! 🙂

Thank you very much, Loolie! We look forward to working with you and other member countries as time moves forward. As always, thank you for being a dedicated ally and we hope forward to hearing from you soon.

Next edition, I will be sitting down with Irish CP, Trito Fisher, in what should be a showstopper of an interview. Don't forget to vote the article and subscribe to the Foreign Office for all the latest updates (if you haven't already 😉 ).

Hail Orion!
Hail Cuba!
Hail UK!
