[MoED] resource wars event+info

Day 4,700, 18:08 Published in Switzerland Switzerland by Swiss Dep. of Education

Dear people of e-switzerland and friends, hello.

October has arrived, and we will soon run into a new CP election in only 2 days, with the new ''resource wars'' event of erepublik starting in 4 days, which means that whoever will win the next CP elections race of e-switzerland, will be the one who will oversee and monitor the entirety of the event on behalf of e-switzerland.

This will be both an exciting endeavour and a daunting task for the new CP, as well as a huge responsibility.

As stated in mr mohammadh77's excellent article about this...
(link to his article :
https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/a-technical-overview-of-resource-wars--2724200 ),
(plz read it, its very useful, and it will serve as inspiration/guide for this article's analysis of the event.)

anyway, the ''resources wars'' event will be about:

The whole war will be fought over the various available resources and materials around the e-world, and about the potential productivity that they will bring for all national businesses and factories for each successful nation:

As they say, each type of resource will retain the same impact on the productivity bonuses, based on their availability:

(chart)
Industry/Rarity Very Common Common Uncommon Rare Very rare
Productivity Bonus +10% +15% +20% +25% +30%
Food Fish 60 Fruits 55 Cattle 50 Grain 40 Deer 30
Weapons Iron 40 Aluminium 30 Oil 25 Saltpeter 20
Rubber 13
Aircraft Magnesium 40 Titanium 30 Wolfram 25 Cobalt 20 Neodymium 13
House Sand 30 Wood 25 Clay 20 Limestone 15 Granite 7

So, as you can see, those are the currently available resources, and the ones that will be made available in the next upcoming hours will be shown later in the game, in the "resources pool" tab. (in the menu)

Also, always according to the game, all rare (and very rare) resources of the same industry cannot be placed within a specific radius from each other.
A resources map will be available in order to see how those resources will be spread out, and how each nation can work in an efficient and strategic way in order to obtain as many resources as possible, and in the best way possible, while keeping out losses to a bare minimum.

and ofcourse, another fact is :
up to 4 resources can be placed in the same region. (as such, things will be very limited per region, and a small country such as ours, will not be able to hold many rare (or very rare) resources in it.)
furthermore, an e-country can not assign more than 10 resources.

As for the ''resource tokens'', it will be like this: a token will be awarded to an e-country for every 30000 domination points (the sum of the domination points over all the 4 divisions) gathered by that e-country in direct battles and resistance wars (RW's) (and civil Wars will not be counted).
Also a special chart showing the total earned ''resource tokens'' list will be visible in the site, in order to help the people see which e-country has the most resource tokens (R.T.'s) or the most domination points (D.P.'s), which e-countries lead the way in their conquests, and which ones need to improve more on their RW efforts.

In order to claim R.T.'s, the CP can claim a resource for one of his e-country's original regions, using R.T.'s. When an e-country wins a R.T., a resource from the resource pool will be assigned to the eligible region of that e-country.

Using the ''resources assignment'' screen available throughout the event, the CP will be able to pick one or more resources for each of the e-country's original regions.
Once a R.T. is available for each resource available in the pool, then the regions will be processed from top to bottom and the wanted resources from right to left, until an eligible region will be found for that resource.
But beware: if the resource cannot be placed, then the token will be lost.

And once a resource is claimed, it will be displayed on the list, in the "allocated" tab.
By contributing to the war/event, the citizens will be able to collect tokens that will allow the relocation of companies and other event exclusive items on the weekly challenge, which is awesome, since relocating your companies in new locations can be a real pain in the nether-lands, not to mention very expensive and frustrating too...
(so thats a big bonus too)

I guess the only downside to such an epic and beneficial event, would be if we were to clash VS bigger, stronger e-countries for the same rare resources.
and thats a (too) big risk to take, imho, because we could be easily wiped or overwhelmed by a bigger force, such as e-romania, or e-argentina, to name a few notable examples.

As the user mohammadh77 wisely says, about the risk of small countries entering such an ambitious war event:

''There were some countries (like e-georgia) who rushed to be full bonus countries, while they nor their allies didn't have the sufficient power to defend it. Georgia also blocked a vast area in Europe to take Granite and Rubber by setting them in its core. So, they doomed to be perma-wiped by the enemies which resulted in a rage-quit for their e-nation. Hence, a wise vision is needed to be successful in the long-term.''

So, while im happy that everyone is excited about this (truly) glorious event, i advice for us to be cautious, reserved, and very careful with out battle plans and about our each step for the current month's wars/RW's and agreements.
This will be a very big and dangerous event, and we must do the best with it, and with the utmost caution.

And if everyone will insist on us actively participating in this war/event, then i shall repeat that the important thing for us all, is to stay organized and to manage our resources wisely for the upcoming war...

and with those words and reports of this glorious event, i, the vice-minister of education (V-MoED), i complete my article and i wish you to be well.

here's to a great new month, with an equally good new CP!

Be well, stay safe, and remember:
swiss here, swiss there, swiss everywhere.
