[MoC] Introducing the Ministry of Community

Day 4,311, 06:07 Published in Ireland United Kingdom by Rory Winterbourne II

Introduction

Hi I’m Vincent the goat and I’m the Minister of Community this term. I see this role more along the lines of bridging the gap between the government, congress and the public. To accomplish this I’ll be published congress news and logs, interviewing government members and party leaders. Hope you find it mildly interesting and if you have any ideas on how it can be improved upon, or would like to help out, let me know.

Irish Army / Air Project / Budgets / Coordination

I believe that general opinion about IA isn't same for everyone and it's hard to find a common language about it. Some people see it as a national MU, others don't. What we really need is people fighting in the same battles at the same time. I can't express how important our coordinated strikes was. We'd send a clear message to our allies that we're there for them.

For a country that doesn't have the ability to contribute in ground or join battles directly - this has been something we were doing for our allies to make ourselves useful in the alliance.

I've been discussing about the ideas with my Cabinet and we've concluded that Irish Army should be changed, adapted to the current situation and used in the best possible way that will suit the country's agenda.

In the same time we're funding IA with 200k budget, Air Project with 400k which takes about 100% of our monthly incomes. The idea was to merge those two projects into the one, while not excluding anyone because that was the idea of Air Project. How to reach that?

1. We'd like to change the name of the Irish Army. Proposed name was Irish Air Corps, by the RL Irish Airforce ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_Air_Corps )
Hopefully it would mark the new beginning of the MU and attract more people in there. My MoD T0413 will take the Commandership of the MU again.

IAC would be open to every Irish citizen, same as the Air Project was. However, people will still be able to take part in Air actions by the MU without being members.

2. Any Irish citizen, MU member or not would be able to participate in strikes organized by IAC. That way we'd continue the Air Project inclusiveness and get all the Irish citizens fight at the same time. Strikes would be the main rewarding target, which means strike participation would be our main expense too.
3. In order to encourage our citizens to join the MU itself, MU members would get a bit more, not too much, just enough to 'send a message' about what's the national MU. Difference would be much less than the current (400k air, 200k IA). For example, MU members would get 6cc per kill during strikes, while non-MU members would get 5cc per kill during strikes.
4. We'd have one budget ran by Rusty (current Air Project supplier) and MoDs (T0413 & The Dark Goat) and it would be 600k (combined two current budgets). Budget would be mainly used to fund the strike participation, while Rusty would continue to fund all those who are part of IAC Project (ex-Air, new-IAC).
What's the point?

Uniting two budgets, no more wasting or stocking money, open and transparent budgets, new beginning for everyone.

United efforts by all the Irish citizens and encouragement of the national MU being very inclusive towards everyone.

This would also promote ourselves as Air country, we'd post articles about it, we'd report regularly about what's going on..

We'd send a clear message to our allies and highlight things we're good at.

Voting Results

1. Do you agree with the proposed changes in the MU's name from IA to Irish Air Corps

YES = 8
NO = 8
Abstain = 1

NO = 2

Result is YES by 12 votes.

3. Do you agree with the general changes as represented above (except the name which is a separate vote):

YES = 14
NO = 2

Result is YES by 12 votes.
