[Ministry of Education] Ask Away Responces

Day 1,999, 09:12 Published in South Africa South Africa by Vroteier9

A very late Ask Away response and I apologize for it. I would like to thank everyone for their continued support as we got good support from our last article and three questions this time around. Hopefully this will continue so that we can answer ay questions you guys and girls have about eSA & the eWrold. Our first question comes from Henock Haukongo whose question is one I really enjoyed as I have been wondering it to. He Ask "eSA is always on the defense against threats, is an offensive campaign viable? Can't we nuke (air strike) Belgium or something?"

A very interesting question can we air strike someone & get some waffles and chocolate out of it too? Well Ministry of Defense was their to answer with some good insight on the question.
"To consult our history, yes, it does seem we have always been on the defensive. However, this is not through choice. We are very vulnerable to attack and we have been attacked many times. This has taught us to be cautious and not make trouble for ourselves as it may be fun at the time, but not a week or so after. // Another reason to our more defensive pose is that we simply didn't have the support to go on the offensive and until this air strike rule, we didn't have the opportunity or reason too (unless it is to be trampled).// I am not against an aggressive reaction to be on the offensive if it is under the work of NaN. As a single country it would be foolish to try something like that in my opinion. But united under a banner, in order to aid our allies, why not? But also consider that to have more regions makes us more open to a PTO, which is one reason eBrazil sits on a bunch of ours."

Our second question came from Marmaduke IV who wondered "Why are citizenship requests so often wasted on temporary citizens, Turks, and Australians? And when I say wasted I mean they can be put to better use on citizens who will stay in our country and actually apply themselves toward our nation."

So we headed on over to the Department of Immigration to hear what they had to say,
"Okay, thanks for the question mate!

Turks aren't approved by immigration fyi (The lazos). They're just being approved by lazos who are in congress and have passes left. And that's why they're rogue.

Aussies are a different story, they're really good friends of ours and i don't think that there's been an aussie applicant in the past month (Not sure if lancer was an ingame aussie, although he's a RL brit). Plus why not get aussies into the country? Leave your suggestions below in the comments and i'll reply.

Yes, i do agree on that last one, that's what i want too. And i'll aim to achieve it (And i think i am already)."

Our third and final question came from eSA new uber minitank SilentFury who asked "Are the companies one setup country related - ie if a region controlled by South Africa is taken over by another country like Brasil and one started one's companies during the period that region was controlled by South Africa, does one loose those companies when Brasil takes it over?

Thanks
SF

PS: Thanks for this ""Ask Away"" iniative. I think its a brilliant idea!!!
"

First of, I'm really glad to see we got a question form a very young player, it's always good to see new active players and being able to help them out through Ask Away is a great. So for his answer we went straight to the Ministry of Finance were Gambit once again proved his the right man for the job,
"Cool no problem.

Well first off companies and factories are player specific. They belong to the player. Companies and factoriers are affected by a countries regional bonuses.
To find out what eSA's bonuses are, just look here, http://www.erepublik.com/en/country/economy/South-Africa.
As you can see, we have 2 food regions that give us more production and 2 weapon regions.
Lets say i want to move to Brazil and I apply for citizenship and it gets accepted. My companies follow me to Brazil.
They now get the regional benefits that Brazil has.

It is interesting to note that, once I have Brazilian citizenship, I am not automatically able to sell on that market. I have to buy a market license, 20gold, before I am able to sell there. You can actually buy a market license for any country at the cost of 20gold per license. So you can have SA citizenship and export your products to any country as long as you have a market license for that country.

However, just because you have a market license for a specific country doesn't mean you can buy from them. You can only buy from a country if you are actually situated there. Ie move to Brazil, then you buy from their markets.

So no, companies are not controlled by regions, they are affected by the regional bonus of the country.
You can only sell products to different countries if you have bought a market license to do so.
You can only buy from a different countries market if you move there.

Hope this helps
Gambit "

Their you have it, all questions asked and answered as we head along into a new week. I'll see you all again on Monday were we will be on time again. Until then have a great weekend folks.
