[MDP] Open Letter to the other Top 5 Parties

This letter is written to the PP's of the other 4 top 5 parties.
I come to you today with hat in hand and ask for a favor. I know our diplomatic relations in the past have been rocky, and in some case inflammatory, but the MDP needs your help.
It seems that in the upcoming Congress Election that the MDP has TOO MANY candidates then we can reasonably expect to get elected based on past results. We have TOO MUCH talent that needs to be in Congress to help move this country forward. We simply have TOO LITTLE capacity to ensure that all of our potential Congress leaders make the cut off on the 25th.
We can clearly see from the past that all of the other Top 5 parties are WASTING their seats. You elect SO MANY Congresspeople and yet SO FEW bother to get involved.
So my request from you is simple. Why not give those otherwise wasted spots to Candidates that you know will be involved and take part in the effort to move our country forward? Why put someone on the ballet in a slot that will likely win simply because you lack the talent in your party to fill your ballot, when another party has more people than it can reasonably expect to win seats?
Don't do us a disservice by getting uninvolved players elected, do that right thing, and get the most active Congress possible.
Don't elect a Ghost, elect someone that'll Post.

If only the general population agreed... and put their votes where you seem to think they belong, then you wouldn't have this problem.
People are cattle and vote the logo they recognize. Politics are dominated by active players, elections are dominated by 2clickers.
And thus, has your mantra always been. People can read and be informed and vote intelligently, without having to type mounds of text ingame to demonstrate it. People join MDP or CPF or any other party for a reason (whatever it may be, however superficial it may be), but for a reason nonetheless. And they can leave at the click of a button.

Only thing is that we can find plenty of candidates within our party and don't need any more.

The whole top 5 party thing is bollocks anyway. It forces out political independents. Jamming folks into boxes inwhich some of them don't fit.
Independents have always found us to be accommodating

I think I deciphered this drivel, everybody!
This was actually meant to be an existential article about Muglack leaving the MDP by telling us all what a bunch of stuck up assholes they are and that he is now moving on by denouncing their ways.
Or the alternate explanation is that it's just Muglack posting his usual load of bullcrap.
Let's look at it from the abstract.
Say there's 24 seats in Congress, and two parties in the election. Party one wins 13 seats, while party two is able to win the other 11.
Given those two constants which results in a more active and productive Congress:
Scenario One: All 11 of the elected people from Party Two are active, and take part in Congress, while only 8 of the 13 are involved from Party One. However the next 4 candidates for Party Two would have also been active and improved Congress through activity alone.
Or Scenario Two: Party Two still elects 11 active and involved Congress. Party One however, instead of electing ghosts gives the spots of players who would not add anything to the activity or quality of Congress to members of Party Two would want to be involved and active, but through sheer numbers are unable to.
The fact that your Party President said in the comments of this very article that you've always been accommodating to independents is all the proof you need that all of your Congressional spots aren't being used by active players. The MDP is in no position to help independents, we don't even have enough slots for our own members, how could we reasonably expect to accept more.
We try to help out Canadians regardless of party affiliation, due to game mechanics, a person like Chochi can't get involved in Canadian government unless he is in a party. His choice of remaining an independent is his, and I am not trying to change that.
The CPF looks out for more than just itself, which you guys clearly are not. By saying Canada needs more MDP is saying F*ck you Canada you don't know whats good for you, only we know whats good for us.
The MDP mantra is all about a small group of active players that hold self interests. Only players who hide behind new characters join your party, because anything new idea or anyone who isn't your style is ridiculed and forced out.
I can see why no new players ever use IRC because you get a few MDP players on their, circle jerk each other about how everyone else is a f*g and should F*ck off.
Yes, but does the MDP offer opportunities for players outside an inner circle? No, not really. There are no opportunities for newcomers in your party, and it doesn't matter how many posts one makes in ODC if they are all useless.
That being said, inactivity shouldn't be accepted from our Congressmen but I have no influence in that process and your whole argument relies on an oversimplification of the fact.

It's actually a large group of active players...which explains its success In terms of IRC - you want an active channel? - #mdparty is usually more active than #ecan... which is the CPF IRC again? - Does anyone even have ownership of it at them moment? - So dead in there I wonder if I'm even in the right place when I go looking for CPF...
The thing you guys are missing is that I don't care who you elect.
I would rather you elect 14 people I will NEVER agree with, than 1 person I do agree with and 13 other people that don't show up.
The CPF and the other parties have people elected EVERY MONTH that don't make it to the forums, hell some of them don't even have forum accounts. This flies in the face of everything our "Community" is based on.
They aren't involved with Policy decisions, they aren't involved with strategy discussions, they simply click "Yes" when they get a notification that there's a vote, and then sign up again the next month for another free 5 gold.
If clicking "Run for Congress" is the only requirement you have of the people you place in GUARANTEED spots on your ballot, then God help us all.
