THE GOVERNMENT RAISED TAXES?!?!??!--- WHAT WILL WE EVER DO
We’ll keep calm and carry on~
Based off of Germany’s market where VAT is 25% on Food+Weapons. Prices should remain the same, but we’ll expect a small hike in weapon prices.
Rough Estimate
q7 Weapons- $17.32-$18.00
Food should be close to the same depending on demand.
Now we can argue all day over taxes and what prices will be but that is just my personal opinion so moving on.
It’s essential that when shopping in the Marketplace,
YOU BUY CANADIAN
By doing so you are supporting our Nation’s Military Units, Government Programs, and MPP’s.
Were not the largest nation so all means of funding we receive helps.
So the next time you find yourself running a little low on guns/food.
Instead of making a quick trip across the border spend the extra dollar and support eCanada.

Why not 60% VAT?
@Funky: It stops at 25% I think; if not it's 50%
nope, HO is abandoning eCan markets.
100%? Gotta fund our MUs...
i was surprised at the jump in food prices, personally i wouldn't have raised the food vat & import tax that much
with the low wages and value of gold these days there is little savings when moving to access another market.
spending $20 to move to save $0.50 per item is not much of a savings.
~hyuu~
@Crock: it depends how liquid you are and how much you stockpile. If you're buying 100 Q7 tanks, it might be worth the border hop.
Buy cheaper first (you just need to move to Alaska... 20 CAD), fight stronger for Canada with more weapons for the same price, and just let the e-canadian communist clique scratch their heads at looking at the country accounts and asking themselves why they refill so slowly, because There Is No Link Between VAT and Government Income : http://www.erepublik.com/en/newspaper/la-chasse-galerie-209041/1
Buying the cheapest goods (as long as you avoid the market of our ennemies) is much more patriotic that sucking all the CAD that your citizens have in their acounts like Dracula is doing with the blood of a pretty lady.
Current price of Q7 weapons :
USA : 16.75 (VAT 5😵
France : 17.50 (VAT : 10😵
Ireland : 17.60 (VAT 10😵
GER : 19.10 (VAT 25😵
CAN : 19.39 (VAT 15😵

Also compare import taxes and see wht impacts those have. All but ireland have lower import taxes fostering competition. What role do those have and what % of the difference in prices can be attributed to import taxation? It isn't just VAT.
You are only comparing q7 weapons. Those even @ the US prices are not affordable by anyone but the most well off players unless it is part of a slave pit operation. Compare all weapons and lets see the impact.
I measured weapons prices yesterday probably earlier than Spock and they were almost the same as a week ago at 18.01 CC a 0.40 CC increase. Also, we had no foreign Q6 tanks on the market in the top 10 spots and only 104 Q7s down from 369 a week ago. Import taxes help us fund our producers who in turn support our primary wages and WRM markets. While they might produce a slight price hike I don't think it will be significant. I really support this article and buying eCanadian.
@Spock
You aren't shopping hard enough, India and Russia are consistently below $16.25
$18.01 for a Q7, eesh.
Made in Canada
Sold in Russia
Bought in USA
Shop in Canada and buy in Canada. It helps us all.
Actually it doesn't help me.
Yesterday when I was putting together a rocket our prices were lower then the US at every level I needed. Surprised me.
@the grinch
Q7 weapons are more expensive, but they produce more damages (more fire power and better durability). The price of weapons from Q2 to Q7 is roughly proportional to Q^2 (you have to use Q=10 for Q7 weapons...Plato did it that way).
Q7 weapons produce 25 times the damages of Q2 weapons. And if you look in a free market like USA, the price of a Q7 weapon is about 25 times the price of a Q2 weapons.
So, to conclude, Q7 are affordable, even for poor players
Price update, Q7 weapons :
India : 16.14 (VAT 1%, Import 5😵
Russia : 16.04 (VAT 1%, Import 1😵
USA : 16.19 (VAT 5%, Import 1😵
France : 17.65 (VAT : 10%, Import : 5😵
Ireland : 17.58 (VAT 10%, Import : 50😵
GER : 17.79 (VAT 25%, Import : 7😵
CAN : 18.96 (VAT 15%, Import : 10😵

Foreign sellers also bring taxes revenues to government. Actually, rich and experienced players like me know hot to avoid high taxes of the e-canadian communist state by buying in allied countries.
Actually, the true victims of these communists policies are young players, who do not know about buying in other countries. So they pay more for fewer items, while the rich canadians that have Q6 and Q7 weapons companies make money from these young players.
And the worse thing of all is that the communist policies do not meet their objective of bringing more revenues to government. So young players will not receive the benefits of the high taxes through MU funding since it does not bring more revenues to government.
e-communism screws young players.
😁 The above rant had been brought to you by the letter K. 😁
SpockPQ, most new players end up in an MU, the game pushes them in that direction with missions and other incentives. At which point they get supplies. If that new player ends up working in a slave pit, then they aren't going to be buying that much on the market, and thus aren't effected by a marginally higher tax rate. It's the sellers of taxed goods that are hurt the most.
Goran Thrax
No, you are wrong Goran Thrax
The high VAT and Import tax bring much less revenues as expected, so the new players will also get less funding as expected. The picture will be clearer in a few days.
On the other hand, if these new players are mis-informed about the game, they will not think to buy on other markets like us the old players and will pay higher taxes.
One easy way to buy on foreign markets is to stay in eastern Europe (like in France). It's good for daily orders, and it's good for the wallet. And this way you have always access to two markets instead of one, so if the price is not so bad in Canada, you can still buy canadian.
That's what I'm doing. For equal prices, buy Canadian. But ONLY for equal prices. If Canadian goods are more expensive, buy elsewhere. This puts some pressure on Canadiens sellers to lower their prices.
so, what you're saying is, the communist policies don't work, and the rich players all go elsewhere to buy things? HMMMM i wonder why it's not working. i think if ecanadians bought ecanadian, then you might see an increase in tax revenue. well funded mu = well funded soldiers = more damage for canada. less money spent on weapons for younger players = more money spent on strength.
if i'm wrong, i'm willing to be enlightened. i'm not very knowledgeable on this topic, just my first glance opinion.
@ spock pq
"So, to conclude, Q7 are affordable, even for poor players "
what an ABSURD arguement. Go check out the price, compare daily wages and get back to me. I couldn't afford to buy 1 a day even if I was working after paying for food. I would be better off setting aside my daily wages and fighting barehanded OR buying a small amount of $1.00 q2 weapons so I could fight say 1/2 my DO needs and then fight the rest barehanded.
eCanada NEED a baby boom
@the grinch
It's not absurd, it's the game mechanics. Bigger weapons are more expensive, because they procure more influence. The price of weapons (Q2 - Q7) is PROPORTIONAL to the influence provided by them.
It's like buying "family pack" instead of small packs when you go to the grocery IRL, you have to buy less packs for the same quantity of food.
