[LO] I Am Satisfied.

The following article contains no pretty pictures, no hot babes, no jokes, no comics and not even a troll. So, if you suffer from aversions to giant walls of text, I suggest you continue clicking. If you're still here with me, then I will conclude this short prelude and get right to the point.

There comes a time in every person's life where you feel like you have nothing left to accomplish. I know this article would be far more interesting if I posted up accusations, half-truths and sensationalism, but I have no complaints. I feel satisfied.

Simply, I will leave it at this. I'm proud of most of the things I've accomplished in the short amount of time I've had playing this game. I watched much like a proud parent, as the fledgling USAF was fostered and began to grow from a small group of discontented former JCSF soldiers and officers, into what it is today.

I watched the Special Forces grow from 20 soldiers into an elite branch of 100 hard hitting and dedicated personnel. I've also watched our members grow from metagame newbies into active and valued members of the cabinets of several terms worth of eUS Presidents. I've watched us turn the tide of countless battles and met many people who I'll never forget in this game.

Which brings me to my next point. The people. The people who make playing this game still worth the hassle of dealing with IRC. The people who make wading through all the bureaucratic nonsense that surrounds the metagame worth it. The people that also metamorph into different people as they grow and learn. The people you count as friends. Even the people who you count as friends who then metamorph into people you don't like as well.

I love the SF community. I loved how quickly we made ourselves relevant. I loved how no matter how many challenges we faced, or insults we took, how we still continued to move forward. How no matter how many enemies we made just by existing, we continued laying our damage down like a juggernaut and still finding ways to improve our efficiency. I loved the open-mindedness. Our ability to make changes and make them work, how we stood by each other. Our brotherhood.

I'll miss every one of you.

To xDavidx: Thank you, sir. You were my mentor in a lot of ways and taught me quite a bit about dealing with people and problems in a concise manner.

To Ariovistus: My number two for only a small amount of time, but we were always on the same page and I knew I could always rely on you to get the job done.

To Oblige: I watched you grow from an oblivious nub into the citizen soldier you are now. Don't get discouraged, your time will come.

To TTi: I feel like we didn't get to interact as much as I'd like, but you were a solid choice for number two and I know you'll continue to do a good job, no matter where your path leads you.

To my crazy Dutchies: You guys kick ass. The SF's culture wouldn't have been near as much fun without your shenanigans.

To Kell Draygo and GoalieBCSC: You guys always offered brilliant advice and calmed me down many times over when I'd rage over ridiculous minutia.

To Bockson: Stay sober, buddy. 😉

To s0beit: Thanks for your hard work, bro. I know you'll do well.

To legendary-leader: Keep up the excellent work and you'll go far.

To gnilraps: Again, I don't feel like we got to interact as much as I'd like, but you've been an exemplary officer, and should you choose to take your military career to the next step, I feel you'll continue to excel.

To the rest of my PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE family, I'll miss you.

With these things being said, the point of this article is to announce my resignation as Special Forces Commanding Officer. I feel I have nothing left to accomplish in this role, nor should I continue to force myself into a job I know I'm rapidly losing interest in. Instead, I'm going to step away now, rest on my laurels and wish you all the best of luck, rather than ever allow what I've worked so hard for to stagnate.

PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE.
