[Kravenn] About conflict in UK, Interview with all protagonists (part 1)

Hello everybody,

Recently, United Kingdom was on the center of several attacks : Norway, Sweden, Finland, Canada, France and Israel (via an airstrike).

United Kingdom is my former country but I have interest to discover what was behind all of these actions. Each country has a different view, different reasons to be involved there.
Of course, I’m not in a position to say “XXX is good” or “XXX is evil”. I’m neutral there but I want to listen each country to have a better comprehension of current events.

I decided to interview every protagonist. I contacted UK MoFA, Canadian MoFA, Israel CP, Norway CP, French CP and Finnish MoFA (who is representing Asgard) and all agreed to answer and take part to my project.


Preparing interview on the phone

They all know that other protagonists were contacted, they all received different questions (questions are linked to their country), they ignore questions of other protagonists.

To avoid a very long article, I will split all interview in 2 parts. Today : I publish the part 1.

Interview with Misterdo (French CP)

Hello Misterdo,

Well, I won’t hide it : you are the last one of my interview list. Recently, one of your congress members launched a natural enemy law against UK and this proposition is going to be accepted. It means you enter in my project to interview all protagonist involving eUK (where they are the target of different countries)

1-The Rivality between eFR and eUK isn’t a secret. These last weeks, eUK was able to capture Picardy (fruits) from France. But when there was a resistance war (shortly before elections, eUK decided to give back the region (and also the resource they were looking for). By who you think that RW was launched and why ?

I think the RW was opened by Chileans. When RW was launched, there was a war opened against them (MPP one). they are doing more damages than us (especially at the moment where they opened these campaigns). Picardy was a region who blocked access North Calais (capital) to other regions. These last one should be taken by Poland and Chile, so we had no interest to take back Picardy and we worked to keep the possibility to have a congress. Unfortunately, our opponents wanted to see us without congress and when the RW was launched : it was almost impossible for us to counter their actions. We had back Picardy and shortly afterwards, Chileans took it

2- eUK is currently the target of Asgard (all their members) but also Canada and Israel. When your Natural enemy was launched : there was talks between those who are attacking UK ?

No, when we launched our NE law, we didn’t talked with others countries who are attacking UK. We scheduled other plans to them (during the current contest who offer to boost activity on military units). But Britanny was liberated and following that : we are taking the opportunity to attack eUK and with a great surprise : 5 other countries.

3- Known the fact that eUK took Picardy, does the NE law can be seen as vengeance (considering what happened) Is it really the case (taking in consideration that an action against a country is often followed by a counter strike)

First of all : NO. NE law isn’t a vengeance about the fact eUK took Picardy but to have an enemy for the current admin contest (MU one). eUK is an opponent who has a strength more similar than ours unlike Poland or Chile (the 2 other choices for the contest). Considering our strength, I don’t think we can do something “huge” against them.

4- In eFrance : What do you think about eUK ? And do you think that (even at very long term) to see France and UK friends again ?

On a personal plan : I don’t have a real opinion on UK. I often check only surface because for me : since I began to play, we are in opposed alliances and I just see them as enemy. But maybe a day, if I begin to have some interest for eUK, I will find them charming. I tend to think that if there is a reconciliation : it will be because we will be on the same alliance. On Erepublik, nothing is impossible and like we say here “Impossible isn’t french”.

Hi TheJuliusCaesar,

You are often around Asgard HQ. No need to hide it : Since eUK and eIreland relations aren’t so terrible than some years ago : Asgard (mainly Norway) is now a good target for eUK. Due to the current conflict between eUK and eNorway (and how it escalated), I found interesting to add someone from Asgard on my project.

1- At the base, it was a training war between eUK and eNorway. However, it quickly moved to something more serious (CO on several battles, …). How Asgard saw the idea of a TW between one of their members and UK ?

Practically every Asgard member nation wanted to have a war of their own, for the missions of course. United Kingdom was the most logical possibility for Norway, as Russia is way too powerful. However the training war between Norway and the UK got ugly pretty quickly.

2- Does Asgard trusted eUK words about the TW ? (It’s a TW and nothing more)

I had just arrived from my holiday, and was greeted with a total mess and bad communication. It was a TW for a start, but things escalated pretty quickly. Norway was in impression that the war was supposed to be fought within the Vestlandet-Scotland axis, while the UK thought they could wipe Norway and then liberate them afterwards. Needless to say, Norwegians and Asgardians were not happy when UK invaded deep into the cores of Norway. Regarding the starting gangbang of the UK, Finland was going to NE them anyway. Others are just a bonus and a gentle reminder that one shouldn’t mess with Asgard 😉

3- How is eUK seen by Asgard ?

The United Kingdom has been an enemy of Fennoscandian nations pretty much always. The UK was a member of ONE, TWO and later Sirius, while Finland and Norway were part of EDEN and later Asgard (which is anti-Sirius). Sweden was part of ONE-alliance, but later departed and joined Asgard. The Britons are not liked by Asgardians, mainly due the fact that the UK has been vehemently attacking Norway for a year or so. That is of course due the strengthened British relations with Ireland, their former nemesis.


4- Norway is often considered as the little bro of Asgard. Recently, several countries (all Asgard countries + Canada and Israel) targeted eUK. Does it in reaction to what happened (maybe an eUK try to avoid to Norway to have congress) ? If Yes, do you think eUK will understand the message ?

The Finnish and Swedish NE’s were indeed a retaliation to what happened between Norway and the UK. Of course, due the limited routes from Scandinavian Peninsula to the Great Britain, both nations can’t invade the UK at the same time. To be honest, the Israeli airstrike caught us by surprise, so did the Canadian NE. We hadn’t planned or coordinated the operation with them. Things also got slightly out of hand when both France and Ireland joined the anti-UK front, never mind the seriousness of some of these NE’s. No, I sadly do not think the Britons will understand the message.. When I discussed the events with the common folk last night, they seemed to think that they’ve done nothing wrong. That all the attacking nations are a “bunch of cowards”. For the sake of the British community, I really hope that at some point they realise that putting selfish interests before the interests of the alliance leads to nothing good. As they drove away their experienced, respected players, there seems to be no one sensible enough left to form a serious plan for their foreign policy. There is no one left to keep this relatively small nation running with the big boys. That will be costly.


5- eCanada and eIsrael aren’t Asgard members (eCanada is a former member) but they are in Leto. Does Asgard share good links with Leto countries ? (and also Asteria ones)

Asgard shares strong and lively relations with the LETO alliance at the moment. Their member nation Australia just conducted a planned airstrike to Asgardian regions in order to secure their congress for the first time in months. This operation has strengthened our cooperation with them by many important steps. Finland was close to sign a MPP with Israel earlier this month too. Asgard has excellent relations with Canada, has had since they were members of our alliance.

Interview with Dozzer_x (Canadian MoFA)

Hi Dozzer_x

Well, you are currently eCan MoFA and that’s the reason why I decided to contact you.

1- On these last hours : Canadian CP launched a natural enemy law against United Kingdom (who is one of your main enemies). Is it linked with the situation between UK and Norway ?

Yes, Canada does this to help Norway, and indirectly, Australia. While the Brits may deny that their target is Australia, I do think that it is most probably propaganda, considering they would have attacked Australia were the Aussies not to get refuge in Finland.

2- In the past, Canada was in Asgard (you are now in Leto). Even if you aren’t directly on the same alliance than scandinavian countries. Do you still have good relations with them ?

Naturally. The Scandinavian countries have always been close allies of Canada, and we still hold them in high regard. Even with their recent alignment towards Pacifica, we still consider the Scandinavian countries allies and partners.

3- Most of the time, when Canada and UK are at war : Oil is a target for your country. Could it be the case again ?

If we get to oil as well, that can only be a good thing. But in this war, oil is not a target for Canada. Even if we get to hold it, we need to invest important resources to keep it. Our target is to help Norway in this moment and nothing else.

4- My last question : How eUK is seen by Canadian population

This is a very difficult question to answer, considering many Canadian citizens and especially politicians have also held posts in the eUK, where they have been citizens in the past. So in this aspect, there is some sort of relationship. But naturally, we can only see eUK as an enemy.
