[Indian Army] Week 1 Report

The Indian Army program had a successful first week. Here is a quick report. This report is divided into following sections.

1. Progress
After making around 5 million damage on first day, Indian Army has seen a considerable increase in activity and increase in damage. At the end of week, Indian Army soldiers made around 10million damage for our Allies. Please note that, all this damage is for our allies.

Approximately around 250,000 INR has been spent in the first week.
a. Weapons Cost : Around 100k.
b. Prize Winnings : Around 100k.
c. Dispatcher Salaries : Around 50k.

Special note : Please notice that Vaibhavftp was the only soldier to be placed in top 3 for the entire week. Great work Vaibhav. May be someone can break his record this week.

5. How to Join
To join this program, you must be willing to come to IRC, request and wait for dispatches.
If you can do that, all you have to do is visit us in #India and ask there on how to join the #IndianArmy
Anyone with Indian Citizenship and from a Indian MU is eligible to join the Indian Army.
Your country needs you. Join the Indian Army.
6. Dispatch Rules
Dispatch is done if
a. There is a active battle, where the wall is close to 50%.
b. Or, if there is atleast 150 food fights available cummulatively.
7. Dispatchers Salary
The weekly Dispatchers Salary are now given like this.
a. A total of 50,000 INR is allocated as salary for the dispatchers.
b. A minimum of 20 requests is served by the dispatcher.
c. The salary is calculated as (percentage of the total dispatch done by the dispatcher) * (Amount of salary).
So, if a dispatcher serves around 30% of the request, the dispatcher will get around 30/100*50000 = 15000 INR for one week.

I think not. Kismu dispatched an incredible amount of weapons in comparision to the rest. Hence that money is deserved.
Shakti, we need dispatchers. This week, I wont be dispatching much, and I would like some one to continue with the dispatching process. With the huge salary, there has been good response, there is lot more dispatchers and the dispatchers are fighting with each other to dispatch. I guess on the long run, it will help have super actives in the game. if it is just one dispatcher getting all the money,, i will make sure the salary is reduced 😛.

22.4k is for a week...!!! for a week! and if kismu was so much concerned about "one dispatcher getting all the money", he could have waited before collecting his salary. lol....wat a joke.
Fighter100, this is the first week of salaries.
It's one fixed budget, and is divided up dependent on how much each guy has dispatched, which is fair.
If you're so worried about Kismu, then become a dispatcher and beat him.
Fighter, I dont really care for the salary. I earn much more than this weekly. Way much more. And I have increased the govt revenue much more than what i received. I can donate it back to the govt, if need be.
But, if you were in IRC, you would have noticed that this huge salary has increased the activity. You can fight lot more people in IRC now. I hope you too join the IndianArmy soon.

smekerot, blacklisted people are also ineligible, and you were blacklisted because you got CS through exploits.
He got to be rewarded for the incredible amount of work he has put into this program . And the whole of the dispatches run on his works if I'm not wrong , so there is nothing wrong in him getting payed so much for this week . These high salaries have attracted many dispatchers very much needed for the program . Maybe in course of time 50K will be shared better among the dispatchers
Alector: What kind of explanation is that? all i did was raised few points and you went to say why i don't become dispatcher. lol....as an CP of eIndia, i expect you to face criticism fully and try to give explanation.
We knew that there would be lack of dispatchers, then why it's one fixed budget in the first place and that too with such a big salary..?!
Kismu: its not about just you or how much you make on your own. Its about the salary...a fixed budget doesn't make any sense when you have less dispatchers, and giving that much money to few dispatchers..is just ridiculous from the govt account.
Its like saying, Hey, we will give thousands of INR in salary to one guy unless more participate in the program. complete waste of govt money.
Correction: not Few, but just One in this case.

if we go by your logic, because Kismu has done good job in "Department of Finance" he should be rewarded with this money...?!
Fighter, I guess your concern is not about paying the dispatchers and rather, How much is being paid. Well, that was a decision we discussed in the cabinet. The logic to come up with that number was this.
Does dispatchers need High Salary ? Answer is Yes. It is a tiring job. And the captcha when it comes it is really annoying. And it comes very often. Remember.
Are there enough dispatchers? Not really. Two active dispatcher. That would not cut if we plan to be a strong country.
How to get more Dispatchers : Increase salary. Remember, we need to cover 24 hours of the day. Not just one time login per day.
Can we afford to pay this high? Currently we earn around a million INR per week. The total cost of military is 200k excluding the salary. So, since is very critical to have dispatchers, we need to allocate a sufficient budget for salary too.
So we dicussed on few numbers. 30k/40k/50k. Every one agreed on 50k.
Since this was the first week, I insisted that we pay only 40k and proceed with 50k for the new week. So We came up with 50k.
I guess, we will continue to watch how the response is. Are there sufficient increase in dispatchers? Are all soldiers served round the clock? Based on that we can revise the numbers.
let's do 10 million today(1633), that too without any tank support...lol
Fighter100, I responded to your complaint that this was biased towards Kismu. That's all - what else do you expect me to say?
If anyone is annoyed by this use of funds, I encourage you to start a thread on the forums so we can all have a rational discussion instead of a fistfight in the comments. This was approved by the people in the cabinet room at the time, including Rebelash, the acting MoF.

I think you really need to check again, how big the amount is in this so called "salary".
Fighter100, this is a budget meant to accommodate more dispatchers - it is, if you wish, an incentive for more people to sign up.
Frankly, it is not one person doing all the work and getting 50k. That is a budget for ALL the dispatchers' salary. They are paid based on how much dispatching they do. It is unfortunate that this week Kismu did much of the dispatching. That is why we are looking for more dispatchers.
And it's the first week, not the second.

150k (Prize+Salary) INR spent to dispatch 100k INR weps (damage generation for indian army) ??!!
Its 50k inr spent to dispatch 100k inr weapons...the 100k inr prizes(apart from free q6 tanks) are to encourage ppl to fight. If you look at it as dispatchers and soldiers, then its 50k inr and 200k inr spent on the 2 classes...

If it was for me, I would have given out food+ weps for those who come to fight...... and encouraged new guys to come and fight,
we are rewarding the same guys again and again. that is not the purpose of indian army...
The prizing scheme is redundant.. if you are in Top3, you will be in Rank1Gen, above 600 hits
The dispatchers are in Top3, Rank1Gen, above 600 hits and also dispatcher salary...
So, yes we need changes..
I think the dispatchers should not be eligible for the prizing scheme and the prizing should be scaled down to allow food dispatch

With that above clause, if a balance is not struck...there wont be any dispatchers...I do not see why dispatchers should not be eligible for rewards though(as long as they follow the rules - 150ff total to open dispatch)

Well, no one stopped me or serviper(normal soldiers) from coming second or first on day 1632 - we got there after we read the article by kerchev. I applied to be a dispatcher on 33 or in the middle of 32, when I noticed that there aren't enough dispatchers....
(as long as they follow the rules - 150ff total to open dispatch)..... thats a tricky thing
The dispatchers can always wait for 150ff from their end, close dispatch and leave...
The guys who are coming after that are left searching for dispatchers..and fight anyways with their own supplies and dont appear in the top 5 ranks...

That's what was supposed to be the case...it's not like we are denying anyone the basic amenities of free food and weapons : P Or do u mean to say that the 150ff condition should be removed and anyone who comes online should be dispatched ? : D

We need more dispatchers mohanb - so a small group wont be sharing that 50k - I hope, more ppl apply(after all, they get paid for it) May be we can serve everyone 24*7 if the dispatchers are alloted time slots to be taken care of ... : D

Also what do you want that ppl who are not active enuf shud get the lion share of prize.
I think the logic is simple More activity = more prize.
Fighter believe me if we dont have this salary prog most dispatcher wud quit in a week or two. Dispatching is a very tiring job especially if you have to dispatch 10 times a day

Please, also mention why I got the money as well(because numbers do not speak the truth always).
It was the 7.5k inr reward for my week of fighting(more than 600 ff's)

1.5k inr for coming 2nd on day 1632 with 255 ff's
Note that i wasn't a dispatcher in that week's period. So, I did not have any alleged dispatcher privileges to get the money. I was just being active and got rewarded proportionally, if the reward scaling factor is an issue, why did you guys not speak until now.
All I wanted to say is that, we need some re-work on the prizing and dispatcher salary scheme...
It is unfair that few people get maximum benefits.
