[IBC]Will eRepublik find a way to keep new players?

Day 1,820, 12:16 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Horatio I

eRepublik, is there a future for new players?

This is a short, quick and concise look at some statistics I’ve found with new players.

Four weeks ago I started an ad campaign on Facebook.
In those four weeks it has;
Been seen by 117,000 people, an average of 1.7 times.
Of that number, I have had 78 clicks through to my referal page.

So to summerise,

Reach: 117,000
Viewe😛1.7 times each on average.
Clicke😛78
A Click-Through-Rate : 0.038%

The Click through rate was exactly the same for each week independent of the other weeks.

Now, out of those 78 clicks, I have had [/b]28[/b] new recruits.

Now a quick breakdown of the recent recruits,

Still Active*: 2 or 7%- One signed up today.
Reached level greater than 10: 13 or 46%
Reached level 20:8 or 28%

With less than 8% of my recent recruits still playing and the fact that
in total I’ve recruited 46 people, of which only 6% are still active.
I can only conclude eRepublik is having a really hard time to keep recruits.

Every single recruit was sent over 2,000 in health, and at least four Q7 weapons as well as a quick PM from myself in an effort to keep them playing.

I believe the biggest problem is communication. Without the external forums and IRC, the eUK to me would feel extremely desolate and the game in total quite inactive. I’d wonder if anyone actually was playing at all. It’s quite easy to see why people get bored with game is pretty much just this

*Defined as increasing in stat in the last seven days.
