Putting that aside, those graphics look to have been taken from an eJapanese MU that synhro did work for, not some hypothetical "we".

I dont think the avatar is stolen from someone, we only found the ring suitable for our own avatar, but everything else is designed by ourself and is not take from anyone.

So please don`t act like a crying child and grown up 😉

Oh yes it is stolen..the only thing 'designed' is the changed lettering and your logo that's been slapped over.

you see, one of our members did send us a nice looking ring with mark of our beloved persian panther on it and we just accepted it. so we can't be calling thieves or what ever you are trying to call us.

My guess is that someone modified it and presented it (maybe even sold it) to you as his own work. That avatar was designed by me from scratch for a Japanese MU (I mean it's obvious, cuz it has a Jap Imperial flag in the last ring). The 'we wound it on the internet' argument doesn't hold much weight, for example, you could have taken the Black Academi avy changed it up a bit and said that you 'found it'. That's just dodging the issue and you know it.

But the thing, that annoys me the most, is what happened after. When I confronted the guy about using my GFX without permission, he flat out ignored me and removed me from friends..at that point it stopped being a misunderstanding and became a theft. There are so many cool people in Iran and some of them even offered to pay up you 'debt' (which I declined ofc)..so don't shame them further by generalizing the problem.

The funny thing is if I were asked nicely, I would have probably allowed the use of my gfx and even help modifyng it..but instead I was treated patronizingly. What I would like is not money, but an official apology article, for using my graphics without permission, after which I would gladly delete my article.

You're dumb. There is a fence in eUSA that divides us pretty significantly. Synhro is on the opposite side of the fence that stole that money from Iran. It is no different than accusing Canada for the theft of 3 mil.

Sorry to say that but it looks like stolen and it is shame that in 1 MU there wasnt 1 person capable to design 1 avatar. Bottom end each MU has his own avatar because we want to look different in battlefield, if you have no problem been "agent Smith" i am fine with that 🙂

Well the theft is there, but I was made to believe that that the MU itself wasn't aware of it. Steps are being made towards rectifying the issue, hopefully to everyone's benefit.

you can call it stealing when the guy who is taking your art knows you as owner and if he knew it belongs to some1.
but, when he is not aware of the fact that this avatar is "art" to someone and the owner believes he has right over it, u cant call it stealing.
i think the right word for what happened is "mistake"

We like it or not, in erepublik there is no obligation to follow copyright.
Look, I was in Black Academi since its beginning. I have seen several MUs which copied or were inspired our frame graphics.
Were we sad about it? Yes
Did we cry about it? No :/

Even erepublik must follow laws about copyright and by the owner request delete the illegal content. I doubt they have any interest to fight against it and hold any information if the artist is pressing charges. :3
