Brotherhood is far from dead.
16:14 hours, SHIELD XO WookyJack, Vestlandet, Norway
I came out of the water and ran up the beach to find cover in the nearby brush. CuppyCakeYums was also right on my tail to provide me cover. As I scouted the area for safe landing I looked at the black water stoically, as the moon peered into the surface of the restless waves. The coast was clear. I nodded to Cuppy and he signaled toward the water. Figures rose out of the sea, slowly, carefully advancing to our position. An ensuing battle was taking place a few miles North. The Dutch lay siege on Vestlandet, Norway. The battle had just begun and the second round already seemed to not be in favor of the Netherlands. Along the surf military units trudged up the deep, wet sand into the dunes; Vestlandet had some mobile visitors! We had come across the North Sea from the United Kingdom and all across the mainland northern Europe to converge for one strike, one chance to prove we were a solid, cohesive band of MUs.
16:27 hours - Easy Company, VMA-214 and SHIELD anxiously sat in the darkest part of the beach covered by brush. DeepChill, Roper and BigCDizzle each took a knee in the dirt off shore and drew a quick map to plan the assault. Hours earlier DeepChill had already gathered a decoy Resistance War in Yukon, Greelingada to stave off the maple leaf resistance fighters. This would give us time to do a surprise attack while two-clickers would protect the home front. With Serbia under constant siege, now was the decisive time to help a loyal ally.
As the Dutch engaged the Norwegians, the American military units waited for their commanders’ signal to attack. DeepChill advised we would strike at the end of the second battle, turn the wall and assault on the front and flanks of the enemy. Roper and his MU would go North up the beach to attack the enemy’s right flank while EZC would lead a frontal assault and merge into the Dutch front lines. SHIELD would move East inland and then North to strike the enemy’s left flank.
emdoublegee, Captain of EZC Regiment 5, looked around at his fellow troops and double checked that they all had weapons and rations for the attack...it was going to be a long fight. Henry William French was kneeling ahead of the VMA troops, silent, stone faced, calm and ready for battle. Besides DeepChill and a couple others, he was one of the few Division 4 troops that would soon determine the tide of this engagement. I was leading the SHIELD units as BigC was performing reconnaissance on the interiors of Vestlandet. SHIELD members were gradually coming in still as Cuppy and I checked our gear and maps.
Bucephalus92, anonymoushooligan, Djazheer and Raw were chomping at the bit to lead the way as the front assault to the battling Dutch lines. Celtic Knight and Kortanul were ringing out their jackets of heavy sea water, preparing for the full sprint that would soon be necessary. Shmoop examined his sites in his scope to ensure no sand could obstruct his view. He was going to be first into battle for Division 1 and he was going to kill a lot of Norwegians. lelbron stood ready right behind him...these D1’s were gonna hit heavy tonight.
Roper and Henry gathered the VMA forces that had made the trip over and moved North along the beach to see if they could breach the enemy’s right flank. unna343 and eShades led the majority of their unit. Bob Boudahili, eDragunov, PoliticalDebater, Your Adversary kept close to the shore. Elanaconda and Dr. Strangeluve waded through the water with some other VMA forces. Roper was going to take half the unit and continue North through the sea and try an amphibious assault behind enemy lines. As the land and amphibious forces split they ‘Baaaaaa’d’ each other safe passage and good will.
BigC and I waited a little bit longer to see if any other SHIELD members would land. Paul Proteus happened to be on his way to Switzerland for something crazy he does every Monday (whatever that is) and decided to drop some damage with us. At 17:50 hours we couldn’t wait any longer and began our trek inland with Cuppy, nickbergman, touseef2, thdomster94, Lost Coast and dk3dknight. At first it was quiet; only a few birds and insects were making noise, but once we approached the enemy’s left side we hunkered down and radioed to DeepChill and Roper.
“Hold, steady guys,” DeepChill cautioned.
“Wooky, are we ready?” DeepChill asked.
“SHIELD is good to go, DC.” I replied.
“Roper, are you set?” DeepChill inquired.
“Baaaaaaaaaa!” Roper baaaaa’d.
“Co’s are on lets roll! Go Go Go!” DeepChill yelled.
Shouts of the strike filled erepublik. It was going down!
VMA-214 charged in from right side and gave the Norwegians the horns, literally. EZC put the smack down on the front lines immediately stammering all of Norway’s verbal orders. SHIELD then gave the enemy the drop on their left flank immediately flat-backing them. The round quickly turned around and all Divisions for The Netherlands started cranking out millions of points to victory.
BamaBettie came out swinging rockets in her right and left hands. CuppyCakeYums wrestled enemy combatants to the ground while dk3dknight, Lost Coast and thdomster94 pushed on through blasting Norwegian forces. touseef2 mowed down hundreds of fighters leaving nothing in his wake. Nickbergman and I put thousands of rounds, Boondock Saints style, on the dumbfounded, awestruck enemy. Apollo221 raced in with excited tits and pummeled the enemy mercilessly. When we all took a pause after dropping rockets, bombs, tanks and bazookas we saw our Commander BigC tearing through Norway’s division 2 while stomping their corpses into oblivion.
We broke the meter then we won!
General Cornrow Wallace flew in with IndexInfinity and kody5 as they carpet bombed the remaining enemy. what4 quickly blanketed the field with his unbelievable strength.
Most citizens fled during the attack, but Miss Sorland stayed to capture the epic battle
Eventually there were shades of Mazzy_Cat standing alongside Roper as they tore through Division 3 combatants. Quarter Master and long time SHIELD war hero crashthompson led some thunder-struck on the helpless Asteria sympathizers while Tyler Bubblar picked the enemy from his teeth as he fought Guerrilla style dropping fat rain drops of damage for Division 1. Also, kody5 picked up where BigC left off and dropped eight figures of damage to drill his way to victory in Division 2.
And the battle raged on. SHIELD proved tried and true to their name as they inflicted megatons of damage each round, flipping any chances of Norway’s victory. Its finest citizens could only bend over and grab their ankles as this beastly military unit pounded its behind.
Yeah, this proverbial behind.
As I dropped some damage on them I also sought out my new Norwegian flame to save her from Asteria’s puppet nation. The VMA-214 eventually rammed their way through to the center of the battlefield where they met EZC and the rest of us in SHIELD. As we picked off body parts and shrapnel from our uniforms we gazed over the battlefield with pure admiration. Each company’s leaders were extremely proud of its teammates and praised them with lavish gifts of gold and Norwegian gals.
The enemy turned tail and ran for the next few battles. At one time they tried to hold out by winning several Division 4 battles, but eventually some help from Poland and some USAF and eUS Military members dropped in hundreds of more strikes that sent our adversaries fleeing Vestlandet. Also, emdoublegee graciously ceded a Battle Hero and befriended an ally.
As we stood around waiting, battle after battle, fellow members shared some of their achievements to the gorgeous local tail. Shmoop, with his arms around two girls, said, “Check this out, ladies. thdomster94 was picking up girls left and right as they were strewn all over the place. He even showed them his damage to their native land and they all swooned at his young muscles. djazheer walked tall as a god among giants in D3. BamaBettie, delighted with victory, grabbed her man and kissed him hard. Even the D4 titans and Henry French rocked the house to re-iterate their might.
Eventually the glory of the day illuminated over many awestruck countries. The Joint Strike succeeded, the enemy was defeated and one of our most formidable allies applauded our efforts.
We even received shouts and chain shouts. Later an article from the Netherlands leadership was published thanking us for our assistance.
