[eUSA] Thanks and Anti-Voters Club
USMarine Corps
This is a sequel to my article two days ago, Ignored Articles...
I would like to start off with a big special thanks to all of you who read my last article and voted and subed and shouted! It was great to see all the comments. I was very surprised when, now, it has 30+ votes, the most I've ever had for an article. That seems like nothing right? Well, for new newspapers who don't buy votes, it's a lot. A lot of my comments said that the Voters Club was a bad thing, admins should ban it, I think it's cheating, it makes you look bad... weird to see 100-200 sub newspapers have 400+ votes... well, I listened and I decided this article will be about the Voters Club and why there wrong.
VOTERS CLUB
Me and many others who don't buy votes are ANTI-Voters Club. I couldn't agree more. In my opinion, they are cheaters, stealing votes from the rest of us and clogging the Top 5 with voters club buyers. When you buy votes, your article gets to the Top 5, and when it gets there, it gets MORE votes because people see it and vote it because it's a good article. While this is happening, there are many more articles, most better just sitting there with no one to look at them. THIS NEEDS TO STOP!!! It is not fair to the rest of us.
VOTERS CLUB
I agree with the comment that said admins should ban Voters Club. That's the way it should be. The Top 5 should be clean of citizens who "cheat" just to get there. It's just not fair. There are plenty of great articles out there, but no readers. Many readers just look at the Top 5, skim the articles and then vote them, maybe sub. So the people who don't buy articles, that (most of the time) have better articles, get ignored and the eUSA misses lots of good political opinions and readings.
VOTERS CLUB
THIS IS NOT FAIR! Admins should ban Voters Club. The only reason it stays, I'm guessing, is because eRep makes money because the citizens have to buy USD or gold or whatever it costs to get votes through Voters Club from erepublik. eRep should be to make the game more fun, NOT to make themselves money. Their already making lots of money from the game, what difference does it make to stop one little thing that isn't so little to the people of eRepublik.
VOTERS CLUB
I also agree it is a little weird when newspapers that have 100-200 subs have 400+ votes... shouldn't there always be more SUBS than votes? At least for most newspapers... This supports the fact buying votes is cheating, because you can tell when articles buy votes. Also, it's convincing people to waste money on votes, not the game itself. Newspapers are a big factor, but not close to the BIGGEST...
VOTERS CLUB
In my own opinion, buying votes is cheating. Why? Why? I think most of you know the answer but I'll tell I little about it anyway. This whole article is about how it's cheating and why we should be Anti-Voters Club. It's cheating because it's not fair that the Top 5 is almost always filled with vote-buyers. Imagine what articles would be there if that want the case. There would be 200+ votes always up there, and you would know REAL eUSA citizens (sorry can't count AFA here 😁
had voted it, not that they had bought votes. Wouldn't that be better?
VOTERS CLUB
Get rid of Voters Club!
Keep the comments up!
Thanks for listening.

Thanks Everyone!
I agree; ultimately for the good of the community the Voters Club should be excluded. Orgs while useful should no longer be permitted to sell physical goods such as a single piece of grain for nearly 100k CC.
Agreed
Voted Hard
I don't even know what Voter's Club is.
It's a group that sells votes for your newspaper.
Like people pay them to vote for their newspaper? Or you join and they help support each-others newspapers?
People pay them.
I also agree it is a little weird when newspapers that have 100-200 subs have 400+ votes... shouldn't there always be more SUBS than votes?
NO - do you sub to every newspaper that you read?
I guess not but over time... there should be more subs than votes eventually...
I do not vote on an article unless I am subbed to the newspaper, I don't sub to newspapers who buy votes....
support!
Voted
Buy votes is like buying subs and should be outlawed....

I want to join the Anti-voters-Club. I start by now, so I don't vote this article. Happy now?
I'm kidding obviously!
OK, I agree - we don't need Voters.
But problem is in REAL MONEY!
I do not buy anything in the game with RL money and I will not - ever! And on Voters I do not buy enything! But I do use Voters for earn some cc.
It would be beter without that, but things are related... and you can not change that..
Just my opinion and observations.
Vote, sube you have from earlier!
i noticed you took the advice to add pictures to break up... nevermind
It would be nice but I don't think the voters club will be getting banned any time soon. For now we just have to do our best to search out and find the articles that actually deserve votes and try and get as many votes for them as we can without buying votes.
Yah... but we can try...
I don't necessarily have a problem with it. If people want to spend their money on vote-buying that is their call. It doesn't mean they will generate a wave of subscription. In the end, it's a loss for them.
voted! thanks for this article and its content. so far got 46 subs for my City Fox News with zero buying votes since think its ridiculous to buy them. I take pride in the fact I get subs and votes if people enjoy reading. the real problem is NOT the voters club but the lazy azz players who cant manage to click on more news 🙂 ! how hard can that be??? as you said there is loads of great articles around eWorld not getting attention.
I buy votes for some articles.
I look at it as an advertising expense. If you published a magazine in real life, you would buy advertising for your product. The game is similar.
I'm not sure how you could possibly "outlaw" VC since it's a meta, but if you could across the board, and it was miraculously enforceable, I wouldn't be against it. But how?
I also buy others votes a few times a week, articles I like and think others should see. I know others who do that as well.
I buy votes for my own articles based on the the level of over all interest I think there would likely be. I don't buy 600 votes for drivel, but I might buy 50 for a decent opinion piece. 300 for a scathing critique with merit. 600 if it's a serious piece with universal applicability.
Idk. I use VC and think if used appropriately it's not a horrible thing.
I do see a series of articles from a certain party that repeat party drivel and get 12 votes each that bugs me at times. That party and it's writers taking 3-5 spots with similar party drivel and each recieving 12 votes is an example of misusing the VC system imho.
If your article won't draw at least 50 natural comments it should never be T5, that's how I gauge the appropriateness of buying votes, and how many.
