[ESO] What is ESO?

Day 3,167, 13:23 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Sir Jimmy Savile

Welcome to the latest ESO information article. Today I will hopefully cover what we are and our purpose in eRepublik, as well as providing the much needed serious article in the times of spamming.

ESO will remain a party which is above the mundane politics which have plagued our country, whilst being below the members from which every party attains their true power. ESO will remain a party dedicated to the interests and progression of its members, not itself.

When ESO was first created, it was intended as an alternative to the past political parties as they struggled for power. Some of the old members from when ESO was at it's prime asked me "Does eUK need an alternative party?". If you compare the political system of today, to the older political systems, then the answer is no.

However, players like CheetahCurtis and Voodoomike have still made ESO their home party. Voodoomike toured every major party in eUK and still choose ESO as his prefered party. Scarfar still likes to get involved with us from time to time. SirMorton even has a chat every now and then (I didn't even know he existed until I joined ESO).

So maybe ESO has something other parties are lacking. The "alternative" some players need to continue playing.

What Does ESO Do?

Political wise ESO only pops it's head out every now and then to see whats going on. If you look at Voodoomike's recent CP term. He brought about a nice change to the way CP's work. Most CP's would lose touch with their citizens while he shined brightly showing lots of activity. Even now me, Voodoo and UKRP member, Sir Charles Moncrieff, are trying our best to keep the MU tournament alive.

ESO hasn't had a congress member in a while, not many of our members are interested at the moment. But back when we were in the top 5 however, we would get some of the higher turnouts in elections and maintained an active presence in congress. Most our members would get close to 100% turnout in congress votes every term! Something I'm very proud of. And we didn't need any government or private rewards to do this!

We even do our best for new players. We have tried in the past to help each player individually, but that takes a lot of time and effort for such a small group of players. So ESO have been coming up with a new way to help them. We have started to make our own tutorials for new players. These tutorials will be published in the eUK Forums where they can be edited so that they can remain up to date throughout all the game changes.

When we are not busy doing all the above and possibly more, we tend to be looking at our feed all day taking pride over the daily nonsense we talk about.

So to end this, I'd like to say that ESO is still a good party, with a small but strong and dedicated team supporting it. We may look inactive on the outside sometimes. But there's a party on the inside XD

P.S, ESO are incredibly sorry for possibly starting the spamming articles and I take full responsibility!
