Hello again everyone! As promised, here is a breakdown of all of the fun and fantastic events you can look forward to in the coming month if you elect me as the PP of ESO!



Managerial Style



First off, a bit about how I see leadership. I’m not a fan of hierarchies, power structures, or the like. I prefer to build consensus and I will seek contributions from any party members who have ideas and who are willing to communicate them. Parties are a collective effort, and this will very much be the theme. I will NOT have a vPP or media person - I will perform those roles. The only role I foresee filling is an elections officer so that I may remove myself from the discussion for future CP and PP candidates to ensure impartiality.

Policy

ESO has always been strong internally - we have historically focused on building our own structures to suit our needs. Now that we have largely refined our own ‘house’, I would like to lead some discussions on how we can extend our collective beliefs to influence national and international policy. I will be opening topics on the forum for discussion, and will endeavor to seek feedback ingame as well. I recognize that not everyone can or wants to use the forum, and their voices still need to be heard. Topics to expect include: diplomacy, taxes, citizenship, and community-building.

Now onto the good stuff - putting the ‘party’ back in party 😛

ESO Star Awards

These awards will be available beginning July 16th. What are they you ask? ESO’s own version of the very successful UK forum awards!

Players in Divisions 1 & 2 will complete tasks and challenges and then will be rewarded with money, food, and tanks. A full list of tasks and challenges will be released detailing exactly what rewards are available.

What I nee😛 Someone to help me with the logistics, and any donations of food/currency/weapons that any player is willing to provide.

ESOlympics



The London games are nearly upon us, why not extend the celebrations ingame? Each player that wants to participate will be able to pick a country of their choice (with a few exceptions), and will earn rewards for their RL team’s successes at the games. Did your country win a medal? Expect a prize! New World Record? Expect a prize! You might even get a bonus award if Canada does well!

What I nee😛 Rodney McKay has volunteered to help me out on this one, but I could still use support and again, any freebies that you are willing to share.

NHS MU Food Drive

Somewhere in the midst of this month I will also be organizing a food drive for our lovely new Division 1 players that are busily winning battles for us! Expect to hear more about this in the future.

Military Affairs



I will be stepping aside from Legion this month in order to respect the independence of the unit. The very capable and active Carlini8 will be taking over as Commander for me. Expect a Legion article shortly detailing new changes and Captaincy elections. There are a lot of good ideas floating around, including ideas put forward by Tazecca (new player development) and Joshua Whelan (RW strategies). I am sure it will be another exciting and successful month for Legion

Exchange

ESO has enjoyed close ties with Belgian players since its inception. I thought it might be a fun and productive method for our younger players to be able to go on 'exchange' with other players from nearby eNations. I will discuss this with a few friends in eBelgium, and if there is interest I would also like to consider establishing closer links with our Irish and Spanish neighbours! This is obviously an idea that is in its infancy, so stay tuned.

Other Items

The general tone I will be working towards this month is one of culture, collaboration, and building on strengths. I don’t claim to have all the answers, and I will be thrilled to hear any and all ideas that any of you have. So join in and speak up! I don’t bite!
