{eRep} New CP Day 4: Is it Or well in eIreland?

Day 3,397, 04:17 Published in Ireland United Kingdom by Rusty D

Hey eIreland,

Before I go into my daily article, I want to touch on an author, solider, journalist and critic, George Orwell. George Orwell fought in many different wars against Fascism and was heavily critical of dictatorships.

"Threats to freedom of speech, writing and action, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect and, unless checked, lead to a general disrespect for the rights of the citizen." - George Orwell, "The Freedom Defence Committee" in "The Socialist Leader (18 September 194😎; also in The Collected Essays, Journalism, & Letters, George Orwell; Vol. IV: In front of your nose, 1945-1950 (2000), p. 447

Even with the threat of censorship from our Dictator, I will still continue to publish articles for the benefit of eIreland and it's citizens. Because as they say “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” So to continue with todays article.

1984: Nineteen Eighty-Four was a book written by George Orwell in 1949. It is basically a story about a province of the superstate Oceania in a world of perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance, and public manipulation. This includes censorship, printing of lies and even changing the language to wipe out any words that could be used to question the leadership.

Animal Farm: Animal Farm was another acclaimed book written by George Orwell in 1945. According to Orwell, the book reflects events leading up to the Russian Revolution of 1917 and then on into the Stalinist era of the Soviet Union. The short and curly of it, is basically the pigs on the farm encourage the animals to rise up "Four legs good, two legs bad!" against the humans on the farm. However once they seize power, the pigs keep control and rule as a higher 'class' then the fellow animals.

Now onto the current happenings in eIreland. As many of you would of realised, the previous dictator Trito passed a couple of embargo laws before handing over power to Releasethe Krakken. These laws were passed while Krakken was officially the CP of eIreland and while he was still in close contact with Trito. I touched on the effects of these embargo laws in my last article here, about how they can not be repealed, they effect WaM for citizens of eIreland who have Holding Companies in Occupied regions. But one thing I only touched on, was about how it is pretty much the same as a NE, but truth be told it is worse:

Notification when trying to buy a Irish Market Licence

As you can see, apart from not being able to WaM in Irish holding companies, our own citizens can not sell their produce on the Irish markets. This is a result of the embargo laws in place. This will leave the citizens of Ireland relying on overseas producers in supplying our nation, essentially putting our hard working cc (if you can actually work), into the pockets of anyone smart enough to abuse this situation and sell products here. But dont worry, our government would never support that... oh wait, they will be issuing grants for market licenses to non-Irish citizens.

Real Life Facts: In real life, there are many cases where dictator's line their friends pockets with a countries income. They award contracts to their friends businesses to provide services to their nation/government. They ensure money is passed onto their friends to help empty their countries treasury. It has become the norm for many RL dictators, to ensure they are themselves enriched.

Back to eRep: As many might be now seeing with the effects of our nation being wiped, the loss of the ability to work in any Irish holding companies, as well as the loss of the ability to sell their products on the Irish market, this will greatly effect our citizens ability to survive, to fight and in general to be able to contribute to the Irish society.

1847 Great Famine in Ireland

Real Life Facts During the Great Famine in Ireland, Sir Charles Trevelyan believed the Irish were lazy and didn't deserve help. Charles Trevelyan thought the Famine was a 'mechanism for removing surplus population'. During the Famine, 1 million people died and the population fell by 20–25% due to mortality and emigration.

Back again to eRep: While our citizens are unable to work, sell or even fight (still waiting DO's and fighting needs weapons), our dictator is still emptying out the treasury as well as releasing articles declaring the need for him to take control of all Org's as well as know there login details, even if they are being used by others. The question remains, as a populace, how long until a nation rises up against the injustices of being held down by the elite, how long until the masses realise that the few only worry about themselves. How long until the nation wonders why there has not even been any orders or official attempts to liberate an occupied region, or wonders if people a concluding with the enemy to ensure no region are available for a liberation battle.

While this article is slightly different in it's layout then my past articles, I hope it helps kick the readers minds into thinking more about actions being taken, think about other possibilities, rather than 'the line' that is being preached to them. Start to ask why, start to question, start to connect the dotes. Ireland your future is in your hands, the power to change it is in your voices, your keystrokes and your votes.
