{eRep} New CP Day 2: Lies and more lies

Day 3,394, 22:29 Published in Ireland United Kingdom by Rusty D

Greetings eIreland,

Well today I will continue on my observations of our current CP in waiting (I am releasing this article slightly earlier due to having an appoint later, so he is still technically speaking a CP in waiting... all though as you will see, it is pretty muddled...). While I did do a in-between article about some apparent rogue laws that were released, I will be touching on them in more detail in this issue. Considering the responses we received by the guilty parties, it is pretty relevant to the upcoming term.

But first, I would like to take you back to the CP election days, where Kattiaa logged into the MoD Org's newspaper and released an article, which some would say, poked fun at Releasethe Stupid. This all came about, after he published an article slagging her off. To read the initial article by Krakken, please click here, for her response, please click here (I am actually still surprised it is up... must be right in saying he is lazy). But anyway lets cut to the chase... during this time Kattiaa had apparent access to the org (yes a lot of people are still stunned that no one changed the logins and it leaves you wondering what other orgs logins werent changed), 'Apparently' (in inverted comma's, since it is just an accusation leveled by a known liar) she stole 1000cc of the governments and the Irish citizens money.

Now if this was reported, they would have a ticket from it. And admins will be able to follow the money trail. I would like to call on our current Dictator Trtio to please produce this ticket (to prove it was actually sent) as well as keep eIreland informed of this 'apparent' theft. After all, if we are so hard up for cash, it is imperative that every cc is accounted for.

Now time to move onto the 'aftermath' of my article questioning these quick and sudden weird laws....

Donation to the UK:

This law had eIreland donating 69cc to the UK (I know, after someone complained so hard about an apparent missing 1k). While the response to the law was that it was a "troll" law (this comment has since been deleted), however this comment is still up:

So it raises two questions, 1. If it was a troll law... you have failed terribly. Considering eIreland is currently wiped, eUK just fought off a MTO attempt that had 3mil or so in CO's and lastly, who would of noticed in the UK 69cc going into their bank. I do believe eUK would be having the last laugh at this pity poor attempt at trolling. 2. If it was given to the eUK for 'other' reasons, wouldn't it be fair to suggest that the commune should of been informed. After all, we are apparently in dire straits of money issues and it is the countries cc.

Issue Money Law:

This one is a bit more entertaining, as it elicited multiple stories about the reasons behind it. Firstly, someone mis-read my article, where I stated that Krakken would be tarnished since he is apart of the cabinet, and he misunderstood it to mean that I was calling him the CP:

Krakken stating he is not the CP at this current time

But soon afterwards when he was pressed in regards to this issue money law, he came up with some weird idea about 'making it safe from Plato':

As well as 'making it safe from a MTO/Rouge Dictator':

These 3 different responses make me question and very suspicious (yes I know I will be called the next WHS for having these conspiracy theories), but we went from Krakken saying he wasnt the CP, doesnt know and wouldn't 'act in that capacity', to it being to avoid Plato stealing it and finally him saying (see the underlined part) 'we' moved it to prevent a rogue dictator or MTO... mmm 'we' but he wont act in that capacity. But let us look at the two reasons given:

1. To stop Plato milking it:

As we should all know by now, with the latest update, come the 31st of March 2017 (Day 3,419), the rules in regards to the upkeep of a dictatorship would of changed. This will now cost the country a percentage of their daily income:

"In order for the dictator to remain in power, a daily currency fee will be automatically deducted from the Country’s Treasury. If the payment can not be done, Democracy will be reinstated automatically and Dictatorship will be removed without any liberation war. The amount of money needed for the Daily Dictatorship Upkeep will be 50% of a Country’s Income, with a minimum value of 25 Gold at Monetary Market Exchange Rate."

But we need to look a bit closer at this statement and statements made by the CP in waiting Krakken. Firstly this update will not take effect until the 31st, which is still weeks away. Why the rush? As well as the fact by this date we will not be in a dictatorship, as promised in Krakkens multiple CP campaign articles:

As well as many other references to it. So if he is saying there will be a liberation on the 22nd, but before the 31st (when game changes happen), why is this all happening, or is this a false reason about Plato stealing the money.

Even with his reason of a 'Rogue Dictator/MTO', if it was to happen before the 22nd (liberation day), you will need to look at the current changes:

"First of all, from now on you have to be a level 25 Citizen in order to create a Military Unit. Furthermore, in order to open a Civil War, a Military Unit needs to be at least 60 days old. Only commanders who are in charge of such military units for at least 14 days and have reached experience level 25 can start Civil Wars. The Dictatorship mechanics have also been revised and a Daily Dictatorship Upkeep cost will be introduced."

So that would essentially mean this 'rogue dictator/MTO', would have to cough up firstly 1mil + COs (even though with the high determination our current dictatorship has, the COs would prob be not needed), then either wait 60 days or get hold of an older Irish MU, then spend another 2mil + CO's, just to launch the MTO, all in all costing over 3mil cc to get his hands on gold to the value of 200k... sounds like a bad investment to me.

So these three answers are all debunked and also do not shed any light on the true reasons. But then came along Trito and his comment on my article, which has since been deleted, where he stated the issue money law was to help pay for upcoming MPP's... which sounds slightly more plausible if... we didnt already have over 185k in the countries coffers already:

One other thing worth of note, was these laws where passed before the end of the CP election, maybe that also has something to do with it. It is hard to tell with all these different stories going on.

And for educational purposes, as some people think that gold is useless, there is actually two laws that still require gold. Granted one is hardly ever used and the other is 99.99% not used with gold (and I would hate to see it happen). These two laws are the Declare War law and the Peace Treaty law.

While we are educating (I can actually be nice and helpful as well), some of you might of seen one of our future CP's articles. In it he stuffed up the graphics/image link. But to show, I am actually a caring person, I thought I would take the time to explain how to post and image properly and some tips in this regard. Maybe some of our other readers might find this useful as well.

As you can see here:

Someone did not embed his image link correctly. This was most likely caused by leaving out the *.jpg, *.gif or which ever one it might of been. The best was to firstly upload your image is to Right click the image and select 'Copy image address'. Then you go to your article and click this button:

And it will be placed in your article (later on I will do an article all about the media module, with more hints and tips). But unfortunately sometimes, eRep wont load an image or worse yet, you have the same problem some had above and post an image with out the full address. But rather then look like a complete newb, you can actually view it before releasing the article, to ensure all the links and images are correct:

Press this button to create a 'Preview' of your article. Here I would suggest reading through your whole article to ensure your links, images and anything embedded are all displaying correctly.
