Greetings eIreland,
As promised in my previous article, I will be continuing to shine a spotlight on the illegal and unjust actions conducted by this current administration upon the citizens of eIreland.
While the new CP Releasethe Stupid has yet to take the CP chair, his role in cabinet still means he is tarnished by the current administration.
This includes being apart of Trito's rush of election day laws. These include ripping eIreland off with their gold reserves, Giving money to the eUK??
This law of issuing 200 gold for the sum of 40,000 cc is a law which basically rips of eIreland out of 48,279cc, that is right, he is issuing money for less then half of it's value on the open market. Currently gold is trading at 441.39cc = 1 gold, yet, he is cashing 200 gold for only 40,000cc?? It is such a shame to see the small reserves of eIrelands cash being thrown away on his new gold throne.
Paying off England?
While this amount being donated is very small, it does beg one to wonder, why is he doing it? why is it up to a citizen to question such an act? and even more importantly is this just the tip of the iceberg, was more money going to be donated if this went through unnoticed?
After the all important Releasethe Stupid spent a week questioning my loyalty and that of others, his own government is issuing money to the UK, with out him batting an eye lid.
I ask this, is the current or even incoming adminsteration going to explain these rouge laws? or will they look the other way, while their 'man' continues to toy with the hard working Irish citizens savings.

but what is the need to do it now. Even with the loss of a defensive dictatorship, there is really no need to do it. As I doubt someone will coup Ireland as the pay off is not worth the expenditure.

There is not a single mechanical argument for leaving gold in the treasury. Convert is the only possible action. What is your counter-argument?
Why 'now'? - He just became cp... 'now'... are you trying to say it's unusual for a newly appointed cp to start getting affairs in order when he starts? That's an uphill battle against precedent.
Donating money to eUK? If you really want to argue about a 69iep donation, is it because of your mortal hatred of the eBritish or because you feel 69iep was insufficient reparations for an unjust war waged upon them? If you're calling that donation treason, you are taking a hostile stance on relations with eUK.

Sweet, I dont actually have a mortal hatred of the British. I have actually have good relations with them. Even after Australia ASed them back in the day (we failed to land) it was a jovial affair with a lot of friendly banter going on. So I am unsure where you got the 'mortal' hatred from.
In regards to the issue law, more will come about that in my article around DC.
I know their will be plenty of stories to break, but now since I am off the rig, I have some free time on my hands (he will get some reprieve maybe next week when I take a short holiday as I doubt the missus would want me to check into eRep to write articles), so instead I will just have fun playing with him. He has already shown he has thin skin and trips himself up with his re-actions.

As stated it is a small amount, but it is great to see people who take the high road doing the same thing. More concerning is the ripping off of gold at the wrong time.

Troll... umm we are wiped, they just fought off a MTO (which cost 2mil, plus 3mil in COs), so they will be having the last laugh.
the Goverment has no control over the crap rate to get gold out of the treasury, whether its removed today or in the next few months Ireland is still going to lose over 50% of its value compared to MM prices when its converted to CC.
The question everyone should be asking is "What Ass-hole put in gold into the treasury in first place", that's the person who should be getting the abuse over this, not those taking it out, as its unlikely the rate will be under 200cc any time in the foreseeable future.
My concern is why it was even converted, I have been given 3 different responses to it. If it was converted for one reason or another, you would think 1. They would of spoken about it first.
2. Stuck to the story that they agreed upon
3. Converted the whole lot in one go.
Moving money about has always been the job of the MoF, he does not need to ask anyone in ireland, when we'd a congress he'd just get a congressman to propose it and issue a statement that he requested it, hence no prior discussion about it.
I would have converted the whole thing too, but i think theres a limit that you can do at once, Its been a while since i was MoF.

We had that issue with Org rents in Australia, originally it was set at a gold amount, but due to the inflated gold prices, it had to be changed to a cc amount, yet people still donated gold. Even though gold still can be used for two law proposals, they are hardly done these days.
From my understanding, it doesnt have a limit (I could be wrong here), but if my memory serves me correct, you could issue any amount. But I still personally believe there is more to it (yes I know I will be labeled the next WHS with conspiracy theories), that is more due to the fact the timing of the law, the answers which aren't straight up and the multiple different answers given.
I still think there's a limit from days of old on the issuing of CC, the wiki does not mention it but it was never a great source of definitive information.
as for the timing, I don't see anything suspect, Ireland has had a lot of thefts in the past from rogue CP's and i just see it as some peoples desires of move funds out of harms way prior to any revolution.
This should just be accepted for what it is and everyone shoud move on to the real issue "The Wipe" and how to "Unwipe" Ireland asap.

the gold in there is due to game mechanics nogin whenever someone like biedny wins a bh a small amount of that is taxed and placed in the treasury. and there was an event as well cant remember how much was in there then. the obvious reason to empty the treasury is to have a permanent safeguard against dictator battles. I understand what rusty says but there is big pocket players out there and the players here need every cent for co's etc. it would remove a vulnerability at no real cost to us. an update will follow tomorrow about the liberation war.

Day 3,083:
"Citizen income from Combat Orders and Medals rewarding Currency (Mercenary, Freedom Fighter, True Patriot) are now subject to the Work Tax in effect in the player’s Country of Citizenship. Tax revenue originating from each Citizen is added to their respective Citizenship Country’s Treasury. "
No gold based medals are taxed. So that will rule out "the gold in there is due to game mechanics nogin whenever someone like biedny wins a bh a small amount of that is taxed and placed in the treasury"
Also Nogin, Sluagh didn't give any gold to Ireland. He did donate money a few months back to help with MPPs etc, but no gold.
