The results of the polling in President Vanek’s article were derided as inconclusive and only showing up a divided nation. I see a desire for a middle way in those results.
The USA has been seeking a middle way (not Romania/Croatia, not Serbia/Poland) for a long time now. If I recall correctly, at first it was Brazil, USA and Russia. TERRA blew up, but the basic objective has not changed.
It is a problem that TWO and EDEN are so powerful that a weaker third alliance cannot always hold the balance. It is a problem that many USA citizens still support some of the EDEN nations.
I trust that over time the USA will be part of a viable third force in the eWorld. I trust that no one in the USA wants to go backwards to a bi-polar world.
