Dia Dhuit Ireland,

The DoFA would like to extend a Happy Easter to all of our citizens as well as citizens of the eWorld. We hope you take the time to be with your loved ones during this break, but also remember to be safe when your doing your things in RL.

With this update, the DoFA would like to address a few pressing concerns raised by some of our citizens, but also talk about a few different happenings that the MoFA has been working on. So please sit down and get ready to be bored (dont worry, you can enjoy your choco eggs as well as an Easter whiskey while reading it).



As many of our citizens might be asking, what went wrong with the planned Training War with MKD. That saw eIreland lose a RW, but win the DW (all be it with COs). Well we here at the DoFA would like to take the time to explain some of the issues that came up and by all chances might come up once again, since TWs can sometimes be very fickled.

Shannon: Shannon was launched at the wrong time, by outside players. These player's could be starting the RW for a number of reasons, like: Wanting to drain damage away from another battlefield, Wanting to score a RH medal that rightfully belongs to Ireland/MKD, to even trying to undermind the whole agreement between the two nations for their own reasons (which we saw in the DW battle).

However, this issue was quickly identified and discussed in the open thread between MKD and Ireland. And both nations put aside the issues that was caused by out side forces, to ensure a solution could be struck and the TW continue to provide the benefits to both nations. So we ask our citizens, dont support any RWs in occupied regions until you see either the CP Mac, MoD Kattiaa or the MoFA Rusty D shout it. As well as keep an eye on the countries DOs to find out where to hit.

Mayo: The Mayo battle came about due to game mechanics and the term 'Auto Attack'. With direct battles, the country who is on the offensive (in this case MKD) can choose with in a time limit where to attack. Unfortunately with this being the Easter Break, the MKD CP was offline and the game went into an auto attack on Mayo, one of our resource regions. This was quickly identified and the order was given to allow Ireland to win it (when Ireland does the next DW, we will loose the battle).

But like in the RW, outside forces decided to interfere. This made what would of been a simple change in plans, slightly harder. Even when 'certain' foreign agents were informed, they still tried to interfere and cause issues between the agreed upon contract between MKD and Ireland. Through the use of CO's (big thanks to The Wild Geese MU who spent 114k cc and the Irish Army MU who dropped 50k cc) and many friends across the eWorld, we managed to turn the battle and got the TW back on course.

TW This training war will continue as originally planned. It might suffer a few hiccups along the way, due to outside meddling and even with Plato's current promotion going on, but both governments are aware of the importance of this TW as well as what issues it might face. If anyone has been effected by extended region holding, plus PM our MoFA Rusty D and we can try an ease the burden suffered.



Ireland has continued on rebuilding our MPP stack. This term we have forged new friendships, rebuilt lost ones and continued with existing friendships. These nations have been happy to sign MPPs with Ireland and are all welcoming the new direction and leadership of eIreland. These countries include: Australia, Hungary, Cyprus, Chile and soon Greece. Your government plans on increasing our MPP stack, due to old friendships that are being rebuilt, as well as to answer the call from the threats Ireland has received.

The DoF has assured funds are available for all MPPs and it will not be an added burden for the citizens of our fair lands.



The DoF and the DoFA will soon start looking at the potential and viability of a region rent, to increase the amount of resource bonuses eIreland can achieve for it's citizens. This will not be something that is rushed into, however it will be explored and then the results will be reported back to congress for a final discussion. The hopes are that the people who have HC's in eIreland will benefit, the financial strength of eIreland will grow, as well as making eIreland more attractive to immigration, both in terms of economical as well as people.
