[EDEN] Arena & Interview with S.C. Octavius Julius

EDEN ArenA

On Erepublik day 1455 (Monday) a new ArenA contest will start. All EDEN Military Units are invited to attend the contest and fight to prove they are the best in EDEN.
Alongside the material gain (Q5 weapons as prize) the winner will also bring the Voice of EDEN as final destination to their country of origin. As you all know the newspapers cannot be moved anymore, however the admins have granted us the possibility to move the Voice of EDEN once and so we decided that the best way would be to grant it to this contest`s winner.

The Military Units must meet the following conditions:
- MU's must have leader account on e-gov site and a list with soldiers updated (register for free account, activate account (email), after that ask for Leader account)
- soldiers must have one of the add-on installed, otherwise the data will be incomplete and their score will suffer
- military unit must be in EDEN alliance
- they have to fight only in EDEN prio's RW's
- you need to register for the contest at this link

Contest:
- 14 stages/14 days
- every military unit will gain some points, in each stage, will be a ranking top
- prizes: Q5 weapons for first 3 places
Points will be awarded according to:
1. X soldiers enrolled per MU
2. Presence on the battlefield, where EDEN has prio's
3. Total Damage.
4. Total Strength



Interview with Octavius Julius

The following interview has been realized by our newest addition to the Media team S.Ribeiro. His guest is Octavius Julius, EDEN Supreme Commander, answering on his current mandate objectives and how the world stage presents itself.

I want to welcome S.Ribeiro to the team and to thank him for the very well made interview.

- Good evening, Mr. Octavius. First of all, congratulations on the becoming the current Supreme Commander of the Brotherhood of EDEN. The question that everyone must be asking is... what can EDEN expect from you and the other members of the Headquarters?

- First of all let me pour you a drink, what is your poison? And now to the question, I think the current HQ Crew and myself understand the responsibility that lays on our shoulders. We are committed to be highly active, adaptive, creative and intelligent. We are here to serve the Member Nations of EDEN and to protect our allies and will do our best to do so.

- I accept all kinds of poisons, as long as they have alcohol. Perhaps something you can recommend from your homeland… But I digress! We hope that this group will lead the Brotherhood to success. Can you share with the public what will be some of EDEN’s priorities?

- As I have stated in my first answer, we try to be as adaptive to the situation as possible. Due to our serious lack in sheer damage according to the current periodical alliance, we will certainly try to put our major powers in the military area in a comfortable position that will also lead to good presence on the map of the smaller leaves.

- I see. Well, right now ONE’s firepower is considered to be superior to EDEN’s. On the other hand, the Brotherhood is still alive and kicking! What has made EDEN survive for so long and, so many times, even take offensive measures against ONE?

- Well i think EDEN stands out in two major points. Human Resources and the ability to sacrifice. I am far from claiming we are perfect on both areas yet clearly have an advantage over ONE. I've been witness to many times where our military command caught ONE with their pants down and brought victories both in defensive and offensive campaigns

- Are those what you consider to be the biggest differences between EDEN and ONE?

- Certainly. Our HQ's in the past have proved to be far superior to those of the enemy and the ability of nations to compromise on their own ideals and needs to help another leaf is not questionable.

- But still, ONE includes some of the strongest eRepublik nations. But they seem... divided. What do you consider to be the biggest problem inside ONE?

- Well when i see Serbia winning in a late night RW which was important for EDEN yet the other day Spain losing to Brazil in an MPP fight where ONE have a clear advantage and the time is far from being Brazil's/TERRA prime time they certainly have more than one big problem.

- Ahah, interesting! Would you care to elaborate on that matter?

- I'm not sure its really needed. Our readers are intelligent enough to understand from that case what are the priorities of ONE (Supporting two major superpowers) 😃

- It must be said though, that for EDEN, cooperation with TERRA has been constant and important for its success. What are your views about this alliance and do you consider cooperation with them a priority for the Brotherhood?

- I have been coordinating with TERRA for approximately two months now and i believe that for both of us it is a must to keep doing so. I will work to increase that cooperation both on administrative levels and in the people's level. For the current HQ, EDEN/TERRA relations are a top priority.

- Well, our wishes of success to that and a warm salute to our friends at TERRA. Anyways, concerning the addition of Kosovo, there has been some unrest about eTurkey’s and eRomania’s decision to support independent Kosovo and Kosovo as part of eSerbia, respectively. I would like to remind the reader that, unlike eTurkey who was shunned, trolled and even attacked by many important ONE members, eRomania’s position and reputation amongst its allies remains strong, as it spearheads an invasion against eTurkey. Why is this?

- Well i can understand some of the figures taking part in the recent drama. I myself come from a highly disputed area irl which does not recognize the Independence of Kosovo. So now ask why i voted for Kosovo as Independent? eRepublik is our world. I couldn’t agree with the PREVIOUS Romanian Gov that supported Kosovo as Serbian Region just for the simple reason that this addition will hurt EDEN. Also, that decision created un-needed tensions inside EDEN. I believe eventually we will get over them.

- Well, that reminds me of an interesting question that I would like to ask. Is there any country that is part of ONE or under its sphere of influence that you personally respect?

- I respect my enemies before I respect my friends. Let’s not forget that in the end of the day this is a game and we are here to have fun. Respect as in admiring a state for its eRep achievements, i will say Serbia. although my advice for them is to look around them and have a good investigation of the countries they regard to as friends.

- Any country among ONE or PRO-ONE that, in your opinion can simply not be trusted?

- Turkey. their lack of respect and dignity and them playing the bully over still growing nations is not for my taste. Although I keep in mind that this is a game and one cannot ignore their accomplishments

- Unfortunately, there are some EDEN countries, such as eGreece, eAustralia and eItaly and also eBelarus whose territory is currently under ONE occupation. Is there any word you would like to spare about these countries?

- We are there fighting for you. I think those nations are aware of the efforts we are making in order to restore them to the place where they belong. I will not tell more at this moment but we are certainly not comfortable with those nations not appearing on the map and are working to change that.

- Soon, eAlbania will be added to eRepublik and, from what we can see, already there have been serious attempts of integrating them as part of EDEN. What have been the first impressions of EDEN about their community and what can the Brotherhood expect from them?

- eAlbania is already a part of EDEN. We have been fighting together and helping them set the foundations of their future state. Its not a secret we expect nothing less than greatness from eAlbania and I am sure their community will be a core on in EDEN and eRepublik.

- Portugal, a former Phoenix country and used-to-be enemy of EDEN was announced as well as a Trial Member of the Brotherhood. The ePortuguese community claimed to be pleasantly surprised about the warm welcome and support they were given, along with the organization they found in the Brotherhood. What made EDEN trust a former enemy and so far, what is the opinion of the Brotherhood about its integration in EDEN?

- EDEN already contained ex-Phoenix members when Portugal inquired about Membership. The fact that Portugal was in the past a Terra Member too was enough to make it sure it is a country we can trust. So far I must admit cooperation with Portugal has been satisfying and I am looking forwards to strengthen this tie!
