[eCBC] Advance Polling
Acacia Mason
Good Evening eCanada,
Over the course of the last few days, you participated in a Survey that was meant to gauge voter decisiveness and selection, as well as providing direction on what you expect from your January Administration.
Tonight, I am going to provide the results around whether voters have decided who they intend to vote for, as well as an early tally on what the vote may look like.
Please keep in mind, this is a small sampling. It does however reflect enough intake to provide some foundation and context. I believe the results come principally from the most active players, or those whom I consider to be the "Influencers".
With that said, lets take a look at the first chart, which will give you an idea of how settled the electorate is on one candidate or the other.
As you can see, the majority of voters have a firm idea who they intend to vote for. There is however, enough of an undecided portion, that it would be prudent for the Candidates to continue to beat the campaign drums in an effort to swing the "Undecided" faction.
The final chart for this article will illustrate the early polling results. These results are by no means set in stone, as they represent a somewhat small sampling, but they do provide context and direction in terms of where we should expect the polls to close.
As you can see, based on these results, it would appear that IBB is set to be elected the next Country President by a substantial margin. Again though, we must temper these results with the fact that the sampling is small, and there are still a chunk of undecided voters. What we know at this point, and based on these results is, IBB should be in a comfortable position heading in to tomorrow. Quentin Carlson may want to put on a final push in order to close the gap.
After the election, I will be sharing the rest of the Poll, which provides YOUR mandate to the incoming Country President.
My thanks to all those who participated. I look forward to conducting further Surveys in the future, and appreciate your support!

How many responses did you get?
Under 100. I wont be revealing exact sample size until post election in order to try to keep bias at a minimum.
Not revealing the number increases the bias.
If it was 99 responses, you have a reasonable sample size, considering the population size (if we assume that everyone only answered once and is actually eligible to vote in our elections).
If, on the other hand, let's say 12 people responded, well then there's not really much point in even reading the article.
Hi Chochi, I pulled in about 80 responses. I am hopeful that people take the results with a grain of salt given we can't account for a +/- in this sort of survey
80ish seems like a very good response rate. I'm glad to see the high amount of interest (I'm a benefit of the doubt kind of guy when it comes to people only answering once).
I'm sure people will certainly be cautious not to read too much into the results. We all know that there are a lot of two-clickers out there, many presumably just voting for whomsoever their party has endorsed.
Plus polls are only a snapshot in time based on who chooses to respond - a high turnout just lends some more credibility to the results.
The good news is that survey monkey only allows you to complete the survey once per IP.
If nothing else, we can have a little fun with the results.
Nicely done. Would be interesting to know the response rate as a % of voters.
I'm hoping to draw further correlations post election so I can further drill down and craft more effective surveys moving forward.

I am enjoying your media presence Acacia, can't wait for more!
Thanks Klop! I am enjoying doing what I enjoy most about this game.
It's interesting that 80 people log on every day in Canada.
