[Derp4PotUS] Together, We Fly

Day 3,453, 21:28 Published in USA USA by Derphoof

Americans,

Every day, for the past 87 days, I have had the pleasure to wake up as your president. Or, on some days, just stay up long enough to see the sunrise.

Each day, I seem to have more fun than the last.
Each day, I am more humbled than the last.
Each day, I am more grateful than the last.

To be elected three consecutive times is rare, and an honor. I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given to be the elected leader of this great nation, let alone for as long as I have been. Together we have been through some fun times.

We closed the war in the UK, formally putting the NAP with Orion into action.
We changed the constitution to allow for MUs to easily get funding, if needed.
We began to get closer to Orion nations.
We had a training war and achieved an MPP with Canada.
We achieved MPPs with or greatly improved relations with other nations.
We have achieved victory over Ukraine on the battlefield.
We have helped to kickstart change in international politics.

We’ve made progress, together.

We’ve had fun, together.

In these past months, I looked mainly to revamp our foreign affairs, and to find war to drive activity in our country. As such, our foreign affairs prospects are high, and our country has seen a fantastic amount of increased activity and excitement. This has all been good for the future of our country and for the entertainment of our old citizenry.

However, we still have allies in need. We still need more coordination in our armed forces. We still need to help the young to grow.

I intend to address all of these in the next term.

America has diminished in strength over the years. It is obvious to anyone who played the game over the past several years. We used to be #3, and now we hover between the top 10-15. It is imperative, then, that we focus the strength we have on the battlefield to maximum effect.

The greatest strength of America now lies in the skies.

Led by the EZC airborne, we consistently have a greater relative strength in the sky, frequently landing in the top 10 air forces. Air rounds are also critically important in deciding the outcome of a battle, often swinging the momentum in one direction or the other.

So, I propose greater coordination and greater support of our allies by utilizing this strength in a new coordinated event.

This new program will collect information from allies every day. By analyzing this information, we can determine when to expect air battles, and how much of a priority that battle will be. After deciding on a battle, we will alert our MUs to save up and unleash their potential in a targeted strike for our allies.

By doing this, we can help swing major battles for our allies when they need it most, while bringing our MUs and communities together on the battlefield.

Just as well, our newer players are still a key to success. Those that do join do not find a whole lot of help in the game. Just as well, the media doesn’t help players get up to speed like it used to. On top of that, the New Citizen Message is rather lacking.

So, I propose that we create a new Mentoring Program under the DoCA, staffed by a few people to help guide the newest of our citizens. These citizens will give advice and education to new players who ask for it, directing them to MUs and to government programs available to them. A link to apply for the mentor program will be one of the first things they see as part of a new New Citizen Message.

Speaking of programs, Illene Dover and Dinnyin have done a remarkable job getting BU2SU back in operational order. This month, I will task Dinnyin with the promotion of the BU2SU program in the media, as well as its direct inclusion in the New Citizen Message, along with Meals on Wheels. These are programs that strengthen our soldiers and keep them energized on the battlefield.

America is on the move.

We are no longer a static, inactive nation. We are becoming a proactive nation that takes decisive measure on the battlefield. We are becoming a nation that is willing to visibly project its strength.

We are becoming a nation that will more effectively help its allies.

We are becoming a nation that will more effectively guide its new citizens.

We are becoming a nation that stands in solidarity with each other and our allies.

And we are having fun doing it.

That’s what it’s all about.
