[Damage Stats] CODE vs. Asteria (Week 1)
Janty F
Greetings, citizens of the World!
Today, I would like to introduce to you the newest concept of the article, which I would like to turn into weekly (or semi-weekly) segment of these newspapers. We all probably know the eRepublik is at constant war, with two sides battling each other to death and annihilation. Those sides are mainly represented by the alliances of CODE and Asteria, with alliances such as Hydra, Andes, Pacifica, Orion, as well as other nations standing on one side, or the other side of the world's conflict. The aligments are pretty clear most of the time amongst the major players of the conflict, however at first glance, it is sometimes hard to see, who does more damage (and therefore can be considered stronger).
How much world's damage is done by the nations of Asteria and CODE?
Who are their main heavyhiters, and who are their lightweights?
And who is the strongest amongst the other alliances - can Pacifica be considered as third biggest alliance, as it was in the past, or are Andes or Hydra way above them?
Today, with few simple graphics, we will start to be able to answer these questions.
A few general comments on the graphs:
- Graphs always use the damage from the last week as displayed in eRepublik.
- All numbers are archived, so later, it will be possible to create a damage history for individual participants
- Colors of nations are used mostly based on in-game color. Colors of alliances are chosen solely by my personal preference
😉
- Countries, which are not members of any or the aforementioned alliances, are all thrown in the "Rest" category (totaling 31 countries). From this group, two strong pro-Asteria and pro-CODE nations have been specificaly selected due to their higher activity on the battlefields. Most of the "Rest" group are smaller nations, however there are still some heavy hitters in this group, e.g. Ukraine or Indonesia.
So without further ado, let's first look at the Ground and Air Damage of alliances from the past week, when actions were being taken in Balkans as well as Canada, and people had access to carrots and stingers, being able to generally do more damage. Based on pure damage, Asteria comes as a winner of this week. The difference is especially visible in the air, where CODE and its allies lag behind Asteria by several percent. Pacifica is managing to keep their third spot, holding more than 10% of world's damage at its disposal, with Andes keeping around 7% on fourth spot.
We can also look at individual members of CODE and Asteria, and chechk their contribution to the total damage of their alliance. Of course, on Asteria side, Serbia is dominant, with Bulgaria and Romania standing close by in both categories. CODE side is a bit more colorful, with no clear winner and USA having overall good results (as war reached their cores), becoming one of the major CODE powerhouses of this week.
Do you like this new concept of an article? Would you like to see more in upcoming weeks? Or do you have any suggestions for improvement? Let me know in the comments!

Very interesting. Exactly the datas I was looking for some weeks ago, datas that nobody from the french congress was able to give 🙂
Well, got the idea few days ago, after I myself wondered about how strong some alliances are. Took a while to set up the initial tables and graphs, but now I can get new data for each week in... 20 minutes (and that's while eating breakfast while doing it)
I think it's worth mentioning how many real wars have the main cointries in the alliances. For example, Croatia usually has the highest CODE damage, but when thay farm on TWs, the numbers can lie. These land zones doesn't help for the total calculation too 😃 Anyway, amazing effort, thank you!
Awesome work!

Sehr gut!

Thx !
Very nice!
Maybe next time you could add the raw damage data instead of only the percentage
Thank you!
The plan is that once I gather data from few weeks, there will be a "history" graph with raw damage of each alliance from each week. For now though, the history graph would be kinda... empty, so I am not doing that yet 🙂 .
Oh look, traitors alone! Who would have thought?

I was missing your graphics my boy
Well, there will be more of those coming hopefully 🙂 !
So Pacifica is stronger than Andes & Hydra combined... who would have guessed...
V&E
On some weeks, it seems so. From last four weeks, they always manage to keep around 10%. Sometimes it is enough, sometimes it won't be.
When it's farming event Pacifica is stronger, when it's war Andes & Hydra...
Has Pacifica went to war in the last year or so? I mean, no serious war since the USA massive invasion i belive...
It was nice when you did this for Orion by the way.
Well, I do have Orion ones as well, but figured too many images at once is not the best way from the start.
Nice
Rest included

The "Rest" has it's potential for sure!
Hell we are stronger than Orion 😛
thanks good work, v+s+e
“Asteria has 90% of the world damage” -fake stats

Wonderful work!" Next time, see the numbers by countries of the alliance respect global total can be great. I understand that the % in alliance rings are respecting total alliance.
Thx for your work!
