[CP Update] The Chinese

Good evening citizens!
We’ve been seen rapid development over the past 2 weeks with the Chinese launching an airstrike offense against our borders. China has been facing difficult times against our allies, Croatia and Turkey who have been occupying Chinese regions. This forced them to land in Ireland and rescue their Congress seats.
I thank our soldiers and allies for fighting against our aggressors and defending our lands. We’ve fought against a strong nation with enormous financial resources and made them spend big. This in return enabled us to enter peace negotiations with the Chinese government officials.
However, our Congress has made the opportunity to take the peace talks further more difficult with the natural enemy law that just has passed. Although we have not stopped reaching an agreement but this law has certainly made it more difficult than it needs to be. I encourage Congress to trust to government officials. You may not like us but there is no other alternative. It is important to note that our neighbours next door are suffering the same fate as us.
Finally, I wish to personally thank our allies who came out to support us against our oppressors. We will definitely not this forget this and we will come to your aid in return. It has been difficult since the fall of Sirius as Aurora are now alone against the likes of Asteria/Leto who have been proven to be difficult opponents on the battlefield. So, thank you and hail Aurora!

Don't point the finger to congress. Most congressmen were unaware of these talks before they voted. China have said they will leave once they re-gain their regions. If they were strong enough to do so they wouldn't have lost them. I'm happy to let them pay to be here, but not for too long.

Ireland is in the latter group, so don't get too used to freedom when they leave, there's plenty more fish in the sea looking our way and they are hungry too.
Of course congress was unaware that there are peace talks, congress was unaware for the reason.
How would our allies who fought for us feel if they find out (and they would if congress was aware) that we're negotiating with the enemy?
It was needed to inform them first and same goes for China, so they wanted this to be a secret too.

Lol, article was written as soon as law was proposed and PMs has been sent to almost all congressmens except few the same minute after writing an article.
What kind of congressmen vote not informed?

They were in talks with the Chinese about an arrangement that had not yet been agreed upon, and would ofc be discussed with allies.
That's what makes situations like these so complicated; lots of 'talking' before you can really 'say' anything.
That's why it's best for Congress to take a conservative stance until the Executive has something ironed out. Some ppl enjoy pretending they aren't completely aware of this phenomenon when they are 'in opposition' despite years (literally years) of experience in Congress.
When you are in talks with your enemy you should be fighting hardest and giving them a damn good reason to settle. Instead we got 48 hours with nothing. NO information on anything. Why would China agree to anything other that total capitulation when they could see that we were scared of them?
Next time instruct your troops to destroy the enemy and fight to win...even if there are talks ongoing...show them zero respect!.
