[CP] State of the Union (Day 2173)

Day 2,173, 14:00 Published in Canada Canada by Addy Lawrence

THE MANDATE

On October 5th, a majority of eCanadian voters provided me with a mandate to build an eCanada of vision, passion, and purpose. I have an outstanding team of people to help me achieve this:

Vice-President, Rylde
Vice-President, Acacia Mason
Minister of Defence, klop123
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shoi12
Minister of Finance, Bryan Alexander.

STATE OF THE UNION

Opening Remarks

This will likely be my second last article as CP this term. It's been a pretty predictable term with an illegal impeachment attempt, CDC leaks, and no real options for war given the Alliance-wide NAP between eSpain and eCanada. Here's to a strong finish.

On the Alberta RW with eSwiss...

eSwiss has an enemy, eSlovenia. eSlovenia started a RW in Alberta in the hopes of wiping eSwiss, again. Not this time.

eSwiss are our allies. Our friends. They pay eCanada rent for Alberta. It belongs to them under the "Swiss Cheeseburger with Canadian Bacon Agreement".

I ask you one and all to fight for eSwiss in Alberta.

On trade embargoes with TWO/ACT nations...

I am an economics guy and I don't like providing economic benefits to the enemy. TWO/ACT nations have offers of raw and product in our marketplace. When we buy their goods, we fund their military activities. Their goods are competitively priced, but competitively priced goods are provided by CoT and neutral nations as well.

I have started moving trade embargoes to block trade with TWO/ACT nations. It will take a while to get them all in place, but when its done it will send a clear message regarding who our allies are.

Critics claim that this will increase the cost of raw and product to the consumer and there is some merit to it. Fortunately there is so much raw out there that eCan prices are at par with international standards. The real issue is to watch Q7 food and weapon prices to see if they continue to remain competitive.

I surmise they will, but it is best to confirm by monitoring the situation.

On the Military of Opportunity...

I started an MU in late September before I fell into the CP race. My goal was to start a new type of MU and this is going to be my focus on November 6th.

The Military of Opportunity is going to focus on the development of new players through the use of Combat Orders. Combat Orders for Division 1 and Division 2 are going to be issued for the exclusive benefit of MU members. Members will earn CC by participating in these battles. Senior members of the MU will support the junior members of the MU with work arrangements and voluntary mentorship programs. The goal is to eliminate the need for a new player to click the work button, neither for an employer nor themself, so that they can stay in Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 for as long as possible. In fact, to enter into the program, Division 1 players will be required to liquidate their companies and invest in training facilities so that they "rank like a tank" in strength and damage.

I am going to expand on this in a single topic article later on this evening.

On the Congress Black (No-Fly) List...

In an ironic twist, the legislation that was spurred on by Leo Balzac's leak of CDC activity could not add Leo Balzac to the list due to a lack of quorum on the vote.

It would appear that there were not enough congressmen on the plane.

On Rylde for CP...

Rylde is a leader. He is charismatic and a great soldier. He spends RL money on the game in support of national interests, like some other candidates out there.

Rylde was CP for two consecutive terms. The first one went fabulously well as Rylde had his finger on the pulse of the nation. Rylde's CP term exploded when he outed the eUS for selling out to the enemy. Rylde stood up for what he believed in, which is standing up for his allies, and he paid the price as being the reason why eCan/eUS relations have been so strained ever since. Being remembers for standing up for what you believe in is a good thing.

Rylde also picked a fight with eSpain when he insulted them. eSpain jumped in to defend their little sister eUK when eCanada was pistol-whipping them. Overmatched and staring down a wipe, Rylde chose to go down with his boots on, akin to screaming obscenities at his oppressor as they shot him execution style. You could say that Rylde poked the bear with his insults, but eCan really poked the bear before that by attacking eUK, and this was done with the support of the nation.

Rylde stands fast for what he believes in and he believes that maintaining the NAP is the best course of action for eCan right now. Sure he wants to Air Strike someone, I think we would all enjoy that, but he knows the stakes. He has committed to maintaining the NAP and in my experience with Rylde, he keeps his word when he gives his word.

Fortune favours the bold, and Rylde is bold. Don't fault him because he's bold, its an occupational hazzard. Rylde will deliver excitement and in my opinion is the only leader who can unite the clans of eCanada.

Rylde for CP.

Closing Remarks and Shameless Plugs...

On November 5th you'll elect a new CP for eCan, I'll be voting for Rylde, I hope you do too.

Who's your daddy?
