[CP] So then...

Peasants,

It would be daft of me not to address the white elephant in the room; there's only gorn and been an impeachment!!!
There has been little to no hoo-ha over this one. It has been greeted with sombre indifference on both 'sides', each vote for the proposal seeming like another shovel of dirt being thrown upon the coffin of the previous government.

Mongress in the run up to the impeachment

I won't launch into an all out attack as it isn't warranted nor will it help matters but I will speak a simple and brutal truth. They failed to deliver on any of their promises, they failed to communicate and they failed the eUK. They weren't thieves or malicious in intent in any way but this is a more than justified impeachment and congress can hold their heads high that they did what needed doing; an impeachment is a dirty job but someone's gotta do it.

As I understand it dish has been having some issues in real life that has hampered his dedication to the game. Real life must come before the game at every opportunity and I won't be alone in wishing him the best in regards to whatever challenges he faces. This being the case I believe that he above anyone else will probably welcome this outcome.

The result of the vote and indifference to it suggests that players from all camps knew that something had to give. This gives me confidence, if ever there is a time for unity it is in the face of adversity.

To the outsider looking in the eUK has been a fractured and confused nation recently. A sentiment I'm sure many of us within will agree to. Yet here we are, still playing this bloody game, still doing our bit – in varying ways – to contribute to the eUK. We've spent enough time recently scratching our heads wondering what the eff is going on. That time is over. Now is the time to pick ourselves back off the ground, brush the dirt of shoulders and carry on. To the wider community who look upon us with pity and scoff, now is the time to say “Jog on son, at least we've had something to talk about”. Secretly they're jealous and we all know that.

The cabinet is in place and I will publish an article in regards to that tomorrow.

Of course I haven't forgotten about the little matter of Ireland. We have been in discussion with their CP since early yesterday but ideally I want congress mails in place and a solid, well planned agreement with the Irish. Ultimately it was trying to build relations on shakey foundations that led to the current predicament we find ourselves in and I don't want to repeat that mistake.
