[CP Elections] Tim_Holtz – Security and Finance

Day 1,901, 18:42 Published in Australia Australia by Tim_Holtz
Apologies: I’ve been busy with a few RL issues the last 1-2 days so I didn't release this as planned, as such I will be releasing this and then this afternoon I will release the Defence and Foreign Affairs Article

Security

I have decided to separate the Security department into 2 groups, Immigration and Homeland Security which are to be under the same department but managed by 2 different people.

Immigration will carry on as normal but Homeland Security will be a specific division looking for International threats and concerns be they PTO or otherwise. Naturally these 2 Ministers will work together but will have separate responsibilities.

Finance

Since the economic module is in the literal shitter at the present the finance has become a more important issue. On IRC I remember someone saying that the days of the ADF getting a cool mil for spending are gone. Unfortunately its true and we are going to have to watch every penny that comes in and out of the bank. This means only strategic and useful MPPs and very tight spending for other things.

Since our income is very small we are forced to work with a deficit. However this is a necessary evil. If we tried to work a surplus then we could hardly fund 2 MPPs and the ADF. We are lucky that we have had good economic advisers in the past who have advocated a stockpiling policy and as such we are not completely screwed treasury wise like so many of our neighbours (hint they rhyme with Gidonesia and Fille).

This means that we are going to be watchful of spending and really only hit it hard when there is a chance of lasting victory.

Also buy Australian for tax purposes, even if it costs more you help the country afford funding for MPPs and other things.
