[CoT] It's been quite a journey, huh?

Day 1,929, 22:13 Published in Poland Bulgaria by Distinguished

Greetings, dear ePolish citizens!

I am a former eBulgarian ambassador to ePoland and yesterday I was contacted by the eBulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They asked me for a little help in their latest undertaking which is popularizing the history and cause of CoT around the eWorld. I gladly agreed and today I present the article they had prepared. We hope you enjoy our little narative. 🙂

The year? 2012. The place? eRepublik. Only a few months had passed since March (the month after which Bulgaria and Chile were no longer members of EDEN and Terra, respectively), when a new idea was arising. Both countries had been friends for a really long time despite not being in the same alliance and both were in prospect of finding new and trustworthy partners. Thus, came the date June 22nd. The “Circle of Trust” alliance was born with founding members Bulgaria, Chile, New Zealand, Peru, Paraguay, South Korea and Switzerland. In the early stages of the alliance, there were many critics who believed it would quickly fall apart only to be proven wrong in the following months. Many of the founding countries were having troubles with securing their freedom but the tide soon began to change and the oppressors were now losing their ground. For the alliance’s 1 month anniversary, almost all of the members managed to secure congress elections with the help of their new CoT allies and then-exONE friends. Viva la libertad!

It was not long until the newly-formed alliance began to attract more members. Seeing that even small countries are being nourished and assisted in becoming bigger and stronger, instead of simply being neglected, and witnessing the results on the battlefield, many countries, a lot of whom were already friends with us, decided this would be their new family. The first two countries to join the alliance were Japan and Moldova soon to be followed by Mexico, Belgium, Macedonia, Indonesia and Lithuania. Of course, a great deal of these mentioned victories would never have been possible if it wasn’t for the continuous support and aid that we received and are still receiving from our good friends TWO for which we are deeply thankful and honoured.

We believe that for the ending of this article it is worth mentioning one of our postulates here, at CoT, which is equality for all. We believe that equal rights between all member states must be ensured and we have made this one of our top priorities since the beginning. It doesn’t matter whether it is a small country or a top country, or whether it has 300 or 3000 active players. Its opinion is valued.
