Hello America,

My name is Inwegen. If you don’t know me, I’ve been around for way too long. 5 days ago I was asked to step back into the role of White House Chief of Staff and I gladly accepted one of my favourite roles in the game.

The purpose of this press release is to inform everyone what the government has been up to in a concise, single location. You might remember a good friend and recently retired player, Myles Robinson, started this CoS report. It’s gone by the wayside and I’m bringing it back.

Before I start, I’d like to mention, as a Dioist nation, we should thank Dio not only for the success and grory he has given us as a nation, but for once again gracing the world with his presence. ZA WARUDO

Let’s get to it:

Cabinet Shakeup
To start off, we’ve had a number of changes in the Presidential Cabinet as follows:
- Chief of Staff: Inwegen has replaced Speedcat McNasty
-Deputies: Pfeiffer has been added to McCravok as the dCoS team.
- Secretary of Defense: Speedcat McNasty has replaced Colin Lantrip
- Secretary of State: St Krems has replaced Woxan
-Deputy: Onishi/Kid A has replaced Jasper Ferguson
- Secretary of Treasury: Evry has replaced Jewitt
- Secretary of Media: CRoy has replaced Gulden Draak/St Krems

Department of the Interior:
Blank Keating has done a fantastic job with the White House decorations... Oh, wait, I’m supposed to update you on the parts of the job that he doesn’t like as much as housework.

- DoI has been undergoing a bit of an overhaul in efficiency. As you may or may not know, the national budget is being closely scrutinised to make sure we’re spending only what we need. That means we need to cut programs that aren’t efficient or helping the nation.
Blank has figured out by cutting some ancient programs and putting a level cap on programs so that it’s geared for our younger, less stable players, we can cut a small part of this budget line and remain a big help for our younger players.
This includes a level 20 cap on Interior programs like Meals on Wheels and a requirement that they be living and working in the US.

- Every few months we like to get government orgs to friend the entire nation. It is very important that all players be friended to the national orgs to receive the latest updates. It’s been awhile since the last time we did this so be on the look out for a friend request from your government!

Department of Technology:
Secretary Laxsnor has been plenty busy this term. The game API has been a fun little pain in the ass to keep up with as it has been having issues, but Laxsnor is top notch and so are his API search programs. His team is currently working on a program to assist in friending citizens. When he’s not busy coding programs to assist in citizen management, he’s been working on our new forums at http://eusaforums.com. Go sign up!

Department of the Treasury
Evry just recently stepped into the SecTreas position after Jewitt was eaten by real life alongside other Secretaries. With the lack of forums for the first chunk of the term, it was difficult to get budgetary and taxation discussions going withing the Economic Council, but those are going strong now as the EC evaluates the best monetary direction for our nation. The past few weeks have been filled with controversy about tax policy and we trust that our EC knows the best direction to head in.

Department of Defense
Speedcat McNasty just stepped into the shoes of Secretary of Defense after being our Chief of Staff. I thank him for leaving a nice organised desk for me to promptly pile folders upon. I have a paper fort to yell at people from behind now.

- Arm America is running 100% again. We’re getting the citizens to fight for free to raise our national strength. The program is restricted to citizens working in the US. We will not fund any citizens that do not pay taxes to the national government. Programs like this are funded by taxes and it is only fair to reciprocate back to the American taxpayer.

- The Office of Militia Support is undergoing a regular analysis of the funded militias to make sure they are being funded at a point of superior efficiency. The militias are not part of the military and, thus, are not funded anymore than needed. We love our militias and this is why we give them supplementary support to stay afloat. They survive through communes and the dedication of their members to personally survive on very little. We are proud of both the military and the militias for their continual personal sacrifices.

Our militias and military are guided by Dio to do damage like this

Department of Media
CRoy recently took over as Secretary of Media in mostly empty shoes. St Krems was busy with foreign policy and Gulden Draak was away for a short time leaving the White House Press Report without any true guidance. After some lackluster press releases during the revolution/counter-revolution roleplay, we’re going back to a more traditional format for WHPRs. You can see the first WHPR in the regular traditional style here.

Department of State
St Krems has been heading up foreign affairs for most of the month alongside President Josh Frost. As Secretary of State, Krems has been very active. I kream myself every time I get an update from him. We’ve signed peace with the United Kingdom, established a region swap with Japan for some delicious Deer (or Deers according to the admin. herp derp), liberated Lativa with help from the US military and allies, beat up a ton of Mexicans while eating their burritos, and has been working to solidify our relations with Brozil beyond our MPP.

America, Krems will have you kreaming your pants many times over by the end of the term. We hope to have some big announcements for you in the upcoming days.

Closing Thoughts
- I know this has been an interesting month for everyone. The revolution/counter-revolution was enjoyed by many, but also left a sour taste in the mouths of some. If you didn’t enjoy, we’re sorry. The goal was to increase activity for our nation. We believe this goal was accomplished. Even if some of that activity was counter-roleplay and somewhat negative, we believe it got America to converse with one another in a way we haven’t seen for a number of months.

- If you aren’t already subscribed to Department of Defense Orders or White House Press Room, please do so immediately. These papers are the best way to know where to fight and what our government is up to. Also, I wouldn’t mind if you subbed to my paper. I’ve been around forever, but never put any time into writing as CoS or any other job I had (last article was very long ago). I plan on changing that in the future.

- Make sure to register at our new forums at http://eusaforums.com. This is the best way to interact with your fellow citizens and become involved in the game.

We pray that the /v/irginisation, along with the sands, are spread in the name of Dio.

-Inwegen
U.S. Chief of Staff
