Congress passed a law in January which bans any Senator who approves a Pizza the Hut Citizen Application from participating in Congressional proceedings. Here is the exact language:
It is well established that Pizza the Hut in his past has worked to PTO America with the help of enemy combatants. Any senator who intentionally approves the citizenship request of Pizza the Hut shall be banned from the congressional sections of this forum and be publicly scorned by either the Speaker of the House or another prominent member of Congress. If any senator accidentally approves Pizza the Hut's citizenship request, an investigation should be launched into how the citizenship was granted.
As you can see here, Pierce Vaughn did just this, grant eUS Citizenship to Pizza the Hut. His actions are treasonous.
Pierce Vaughn has not responded to a Congressional Inquiry. It looks very much like this rogue Congressman was elected specifically for this purpose alone, to allow Pizza the Hut to re-enter the eUSA after his failed bid to take over a Greek Political Party.

The avatars who passed this bill only serve to deify this guy. It kind of reminds me of an old western movie where the cowboy fires his 6 shooter at the ground, compelling his hapless victim to dance.
So, I guess this could be seen as an incentive of sorts to all those anti-establishment goons out there who learn that they can gain eternal infamy by sufficiently poking the popularist bear.
In eRepublik, political office is little more than a flag in a database that temporarily modifies user permissions and changes an icon and a counter. Apart from that, it is completely fleeting - however, having a law penned in one's honor... Now, that's love people!

PtH isn't the first player and no doubt, won't be the last that I've encountered in the game, who not only seemingly crave, but thrive on the notoriety associated with their character.
At first, I assumed it was strictly role-play but, I later realized there were other "benefits" to be had if the player is willing to go beyond stretching the rules, and break them outright.
They certainly add an unknown element to the game...
