[Botschafterin eBulgarien] die Städte

Day 3,524, 08:27 Published in Germany Bulgaria by Maggy Vasileva

Hallo, liebe eDeutsche.

Ich werde auf Englisch schreiben, weil es wird mehr verständlich zum Lesen. Ich bin sicher, dass ich habe noch viele Felern gemacht. 😃 So...

Let me introduce some of our cities. It is Summer, so - normal I will present at first our sea cities.

I suppose that a lot of you know about the Sunny Beach and Golden Sands. Some pictures pictures from there:

But both of them actually are the most expensive on our seaside.

The top of the tops in my personal list is the city Varna - really beautiful city with a lot of historical landmarks to see. Oh, I love this city, even not being born there! This is the main church in Varna (we are ortodox):

The sea garden in Varna is really beautiful in the evening, with so much colored lights, for example:

Varna is called "the sea capital of Bulgaria" (the administrative one is Sofia) and there is a reason for this. 😉

And one of the places I strongly recommend you is Ravda:

For 3 reasons:
1. Not so famous => much cheaper.
2. Not so famous => not so many tourists = more peace and more place on the beach.
3. The last, but not less important - in Ravda you can have everything - beach, see, night clubs, peace, luxury hotels or а simple room in a local house, a place for kids to play, a historical village (Nesebar) in 10 minutes with a bus etc. And all this on really good price as I already said.

And for the final some more tips from me if you want your holiday in Bulgaria to be more pleasureful:
1. Here you will find people, which always will help you, so don't hesitate to ask for help, if you need this.
2. Practically every Bulgarian knows English, some know also German.
3. The roads in Bulgaria are worse, than in Germany, so better leave your car at home and hire one here - it will cost less money and/or nerves.
4. I personally prefer to go to the Black sea in June or September, because of the temperatures. In July and August the temperatures often are over 37 degrees...

I want also to present some German cities to the eBulgarians, so I will be grateful for ideas - which is your favorite city, what we should know when we are comming to spend our time and money on a vacation in Germany etc. Please - write in the comments bellow.

Mit freundlichen Grüssen,
eure Maggy

[edit] The food - coming here don't forget to try the banitsa - it's like a lasagna, but with cheese and I think it is much better. Not because it's our typical meal. 😉 Coming somewhere it's normal to visit a restaurant with the local kitchen. After this if you don't like it there are a lot of restaurants with "normal" food, stores where you can buy everything you want, Italian, Greek, Chinese and German restaurants. Also McDonald's and KFC, if you like those type of fastfood.
