Hello Australia & Friends,

Quite the uneventful first week we’ve had. I’ve been on it from the 6th because I want to be on top of the Hungary situation. That does not mean that others are in a big hurry. To be honest, it doesn’t seem that eRep is in much of a hurry anymore. That’s fodder for another article in my own paper.



Let me clue you in on what I’ve been doing. None of this is top secret, heck it’s not even bottom secret. If Hungary doesn’t know we’re pissed by now then there’s not much hope, is there? lol Also I’ll be offering suggestions on what to do with those lovely Holding Companies. This is just a brief overview, I’d love someone to do an actual research type article on the subject. Finally I’ll let you know what’s expected from your war effort. (Hint: Don’t waste your stuff! Fight for TP only!)




What The Hell’s Going On!

Yep, hurry up and wait. Same ol’ same ol’. There was a panic just a few weeks ago when Hungary proposed an Air Strike against Australia. Our then CP Rusty was prepared to fight, then the Ukraine proposed another AS. With one country it was to be balls to the walls, all in. With two powerhouse countries it was we hole up and save our resources instead of depleting our available funds and personal fortunes with a sure loss the result. At least this way we have the availability to start a guerrilla war with some success.


Since then We’ve been assessing our situation. Hungary turned on us simply out of greed. They are only interested in getting good bonus. Many of our “friends” are not going to help. They are either intimidated or have decided to simply go along with the pack. I did receive regrets from a dear friend. At least he regretted their country’s decision.

The Czech Republic has agreed to continue our MPP and has stated that while they cannot take direct action against Hungary they do support our effort to remove the occupation. Privately there have been Czech doing damage for us.

The Spanish have also stepped up with damage to support us. I’m on track to get a MPP with them also. Spain is pretty much in the same position we are in. Hungary is after Spanish resources for greedy desire. I want us to stand in solidarity with them. We’ve not had any real relation with Spain in the past but I’m looking for them to be one of our “new” close friends.

Finally, I’ve just contacted Chile telling them we desire to continue our MPP with them. Any talks we’ve had to make arrangements with them to rent a region are of course on hold.




Managing Companies

The best thing you can do is stop producing. That's what I've done! This will limit tax revenue to Hungary. Obviously easier said than done, but if possible it would be appreciated. Just save up work tickets for later use if you can afford to keep paying workers. Also stop WaMing if you can afford it.



The next step, as this will probably be a draw out affair, is to consider creating a Holding Company elsewhere. This presents some problem with the cost of moving. I would suggest some diversification. Consider finding a good country that has lots of resources for what you intend to make and low taxes. Make a HC in a good region and build new Factory(s) and RMs. While expensive it will make it less of a burden if something like this happens again.

For the worker, if your boss quits paying I would look for a job in another country. Normally this is not a good thing if you want to help your country but these are trying times and ya gotta do what ya gotta do.




RW Strategy

Taken from DoD orders:

Anyhow, here's the plan for now:
> Don't take any extraordinary measures, save EBs and bombs, etc.
> When Australia has a RW against Hungary by all means collect TP.
> When Australia does not have RW please fight for Spanish RW against Hungary 1st.
> If you must dump damage try to fight against Hungary.

I'm in the process of talking with countries, some old friends, some new friends, about MPPs. That should help with moving costs. Several of the MPPs we currently have cause you to fight for Hungary. Please don't do that.

Soon we will know what direction our country must go. Likely to be a long guerilla fight. That means a lot of planned damage and not much winning. Do not start RWs yet, you will be informed by DoD when and where. If you're looking for a grand display of power please do a reality check. Hungary is much bigger than us and almost all our old friends are on their side. Our game will be won finding new friends that will help as they can and us being sly little foxes taking a chicken here and a chicken there.




Be strong my friends. Let our resolution be strong. We are David against Goliath. The big man can be made to stumble if you place the stone correctly. Know that our cause is just, we did nothing to provoke. I can guarantee nothing but hardship for the time being.
