Quick sidenote. I’ve actually been sitting on this article since the 13th … I tried publishing it before I left for a vacation … 3 times, but eRep refused to publish ALL of it so I gave up and went away to enjoy myself. Then came back to slave away at my job. CONTEXT!!!

Super ended a while back and I’m … ahem … Super Sad about it still ;_;. Bring on that 20th Anniversary Movie!!

Anyways, slight tangent, because I’m me, WELCOME TO ANOTHER ARTICLE! I’m so sorry to have to put your eyes through this (Mostly) unfiltered load of rubbish, but Emdoublegee told me unless I write another article, there was gonna be another downing of tea in the Boston Harbour …. How dare he threaten my sacred supply of liquid, he’s a monster, I swear.

Don’t mind me too much, I’m still kinda in vacation mode from a week back, so my brain is firmly in a “DON’T WANNA WORK” mindset and I want nothing more than to be away from my job again, gorging out and doing a LOT of swimming (To at least try to burn off what I’ve eaten, I’m fat enough thanks).

So, shameless “happy moment” over with, let’s move on to the meat (hehe … food joke) of the article -



MOAR HISTORY!

Ok, continuing off from the last article, more history of the party. The good thing this time is we’re pretty much near the point I joined so I know a bit better of what was going on in the party (Compared to last one where I had to do a lot of searching and smashing my head into my desk to jog my memory on past conversations where all the info was mentioned, it was painful!)

So, when I last left off, we were at AMP reaching the #2 Slot right behind USWP. I can’t pinpoint exactly WHEN in the timeline this happened, so we’ll just briefly go over the following facts - Haliman ran the party for 3 Consecutive Terms (The only person to do so until Beerman came along in 2015 and smashed that), did a lot of stuff, then came Kween Kria Erikson (hope she doesn’t kill me for reminding her of that title … sorry, but I will always remember the “Kria is our Kween” song) ran the party for 2 months after that before retiring to the AWP Party to keep it safe (Back then, 6th Parties were used by the T5 to inflate the number of parties that support their CP Candidates … It can still be done nowadays, but nobody cares enough).

Following her was without a doubt AMP’s highest profile member in its entire history bar none, Israel Stevens (Don’t let him see this, it’ll go to his head). It was around this time that AMP was really rolling but also unfortunately gaining a reputation as nothing but an Anti-USWP Party. Most of the media from the party at that time was mostly taking aim at the USWP and saying how much better of a party we were in comparison to them.

On the flip side, it was during this month that AMP’s representation in Congress was growing to its peak, which was a lot more exciting back then since representation wasn’t by bloc party voting, but by running candidates in each region and voting for THAT specific region, so there a need for a dedicated PAC Department to run an IRC room where they’d direct voters to regions that they wanted to win (Say there was a race in Texas where the AMP Candidate was 2 votes behind the USWP, the PAC director could decide to direct 2 people who were waiting to vote to go over there, vote for the AMP Candidate to try and take the lead). It also gave rise to some people’s best memories - Sniping (Last Minute mass voting to quickly win seats just before reset).

Slight off-shoot there but just wanted to give a little peek into how much more exciting Congressional Elections were back then. As I was saying it was during Israel’s 2 months as Party President that we started recording our best Congress numbers, but not only that but it was during this time quite a few of AMP’s later “prominent” members were being elevated to leadership positions - Jack Mensley, Potato134, and myself to name a few.

Following Israel was the person who had been his Chief of Staff both times, Cleveland Fleman. Fun fact, Cleveland was originally the main image creator for a LOT of AMP images, including a lot the party still uses to this day. Most of his 2 terms were mainly spent on internal consolidation by creating and maintaining new party programs and educating new members on all sections of the game mechanics. His term introduced Leadership and the country to David Wilson (Who took control of the PAC Department - At that point considered one of the gateways to being a competent Party President) and the ultimate funny moment (in hindsight, back then it wasn’t so funny) of TDavis3000, later to be revealed as none other than the Three-Headed Lawyer Dog himself, Cerb.

I’d love to carry on, but this is getting long winded (and late, we're nearing midnight and I wanna get some sleep before I start my shift tomorrow), so we’ll carry on during the next one.



An afterword

That’s pretty much it for now, just a couple of quick notes -

[*] - New PP Term has started, where Emdoublegee cruised to an easy re-election where he will carry on with his RevAMP plan of bringing the party back to prominence! It's been rolling well recently and I’m 100% certain that with him continuing at the helm, the steam won’t be running out anytime soon.

[*] - Eric Vanderberg will be hosting a NEW Game Night TOMORROW (Monday, 30th @ 17:00 eRep. This time, the game of choice will be CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY, which means we all get to unleash that inner terrible person inside all of us and make jokes that would normally be frowned upon by a restrictive society! Big Prizes on offer as always for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, so get your backsides over there and do your best for Gold ... Dollars ... Food ... AND TANKS!
