New Deal for eIndonesia:

Chronicles of GoTJ:
Naval cannons pounded the coast and we prepared to make an amphibious assault. As we creped toward the shore, machine gun rounds pelted the landing craft.
Once the door flew open we piled onto the shore. We had them outnumbered, but it was like shooting fish in a barrel. The enemy encampments were still fortified and our soldiers had become nothing more than a liability. I scrambled for the meager cover of a tank. Some people laid around a played dead. Occasionally they were being shot.
I remember thinking; "I hope someone with a radio is alive and calling for an airstrike."

It wasn't an airstrike that saved the day. It was the heavy armored divisions. I used Jadv's tank for cover and stayed close enough that Pfeiffer wasn't able to run me over. We moved past the line of fire, dropped tear gas into their ventilation shaft and moved onward, toward Pare Pare.
The city was armed with a citizen militia. They fought hard, but they weren't a match for the heavy armor and vast air superiority. Eventually they capitulated and were offered a better trade deal than the one they had in place.
But there will be no time for celebrating. We are needed in Lesser Sunda Islands.
