What to say...an Apology & Thanks

Comrades

Firstly big apologies to everyone for my mistake at the end. I returned to the ILP before the check was complete not knowing it would remove my name from the ballot. A silly mistake...no excuses just an apology! I was well behind and so was not going to win but I let my voters down and I’m truly sorry for that.

Anyway
I have a big Thank You to issue to all of eIreland

Firstly when I put my name down for selection to the ILP I was really honoured with the support I received. Thank you to my party for the support.

When our PP went inactive and so I was unable to be candidate I got a lot of Parties who offered to run me. I thank them all. I picked The Way as the irony of the candidate of the largest party (at the time) running in the smallest party humoured me. I want to thank Nithraldur for the honour.

I want to thank all those who agreed to serve in my Cabinet and also those who where to serve in advisers. Alas it was not to be!
I want to thank the inner core who helped in the campaign, you know who you are, without you guys the election would not of been as close for so long.

I want to thank my opponent who behaved so well during the election. Congratulations on your victory

And finally thank you to you the public for turning out to vote! I'm sorry those who voted for me will not now have their votes counted. Truly sorry...

Commiserations, WHS. You can hold your head up high. There's no way you could have known that you would take yourself off the ballot by returning to your Party - the vagaries of the system.

I think both candidates did us proud this month. Well done guys.

I sent a ticket more in hope than expectation...

"I was a candidate in the CP election in eIreland
Not knowing the consequences I left the party that ran me after the vote but during the count.
This resulted in my name been removed from the ballot.
I do not remember getting a warning on this
While I know I was losing I am concerned that all those who voted for me will have their votes deleted.
I appeal to you to reverse this change (I have returned to the original Party) so the result in eIreland is seen to be true and fair

WHS, you can look on the bright side that you had a very close election with another very good choice. So im sure, with the calibre you bring to Ireland, that one day in the future you will be PP! and unlucky, game mechanics can suck sometimes

It is lesson, learned the hard way, that another candidate should lean from. I will make it my duty from now on to message every CP candidate to remind this of this

It just shows the reason why we need a repository (university) of knowledge (hint Chewie 😉 ) cause I was completely unaware of the consequences of moving Party after the vote but before the count. The information eRep gives on the election is wrong...it is not Election Day but Election 30 hours!!!
